Men will spit when getting out of the car due to the low back seat and if your child is young, don't wear a coat as they will make it harder to get out of the car.

How do I get out of the car?

You don't have to do anything, a male driver will often hold the door open for you (like the man next to me did in New York on our recent trip to the Empire State Building), but it's recommended to have a friend hold the door for you, they will at least watch the car door in case you start fumbling around trying to get out. If you are riding in a car with a woman, you will have to hold on to their hand and the car door will close automatically.

I love the car, do I need to pay for gas?

I'm seeing some of these answers being things like, Oh they just don't like swallowing because they're too straight for it, or It's just something that naturally develops when people live amongst poverty.

But why isn't this something that women also do? I'm sure some might try to deflect by saying Oh, that's just unlady-like behavior, but the question remains, Why is spitting considered a masculine activity?

And so, I think our best answer has gotta be, It's just a primordial urge for males of a species to mark their territory. Aren't humans above this? But I guess we used to have fads where guys would do things like buy rubber scrotums for their trucks, or elect a guy for president that proudly claimed to grab women by their genitals. (Though, I guess that ones not quite out of vogue yet, and granted, women also help elect him!)

Huh. That post turned out a lot less fun than expected. :/
