Growing up in California, my only experiences with White Castle were the microwavable burgers you could get in the frozen section at grocery stores and 7-11. I remember the first time having them was New Year's Eve one year, and I thought they were really good. That, combined with the Harold and Kumar movie, had me very curious to try an actual White Castle.

When I moved to NYC it was one of the first places I ate at. It was utterly disgusting. Possibly the worst fast food I have ever had. I went three more times, giving them the benefit of the doubt because I liked their frozen product so much, but each time was absolutely appalling. I tried every menu item from two separate locations, so I couldn't write it off to one item or location. It was so bad I didn't touch the frozen ones again for almost a decade. Granted, I don't buy much frozen meals myself (the ones I had in the past were primarily purchased by providers) and tend eat healthier, so there haven't been as many opportunities, but still.

Anyway, I'm housesitting for my friend in an area that doesn't have a grocery store within walking distance (I walk everywhere and am pretty generous with what I consider "walking distance") and running low on supplies, so I decided to walk to 7-11 for today's meals before a full restock tomorrow. I saw the White Castle burgers, decided to go for it, and they're just as good as I remember. If not better because I'm super stoned too rn.

So, what gives! How can their frozen burgers be so good while their restaurants are utterly disgusting?

You would think someone who made a topic entitled monster hunter rise was clearly being made for the 3ds in which they state that MHRise is not that good would be able to spot a troll topic better.

Either that, or your local White Castle is actually a cardboard box run by the homeless where they serve trash from a nearby dumpster, and you've been tricked into thinking it was the actual restaurant.

I've never actually been to a white castle, but i've had those frozen burgers a couple times and they're honestly pretty ok

Its about the same level of quality in my experience

I know White Castle is a fun place to hit up every now and then when you want to eat a big bag of sliders with some friends, but their food is really cheap when it comes to the actual quality. I would probably rank it just below Jack in the Box actually.

I hadn't had that experience eating them before, but I am feeling this today. This is will be the last time I get anything White Castle, frozen or otherwise.
