My favorite of that is Araki writing the ability of a major villain being simply that he something he directly touches becomes hotter by a few degrees Celsius

Then he goes around giving people aneurysms

I was actually a bit disappointed in that regard when I was new to the series.

Part 3 - I knew Dios power because memes, but I didnt know how he was defeated. I was expecting some crazy bullshit team strategy, but in the end it just ended up being a Za Warudo Mirror Match. (Still good, just not as good as I was expecting)

Part 4- I was expecting some really out of the box thinking from Echoes when he got his turn sounds into real things upgrade. But then he just upgrades again into something with an unrelated, straightforward combat ability.

But yeah in general the weird, esoteric powers and bullshit creativity make the fights so fun

Okay but tbf the actual Crazy Diamond vs Killer Queen fight is fantastic and Josuke never gets a silly powerup

Still the most ingenious strategizing happens in part 6 finale, Jolyne has ascended levels of ingenuity

Honestly, the results disappoint me a lot of the time. Araki will change rules or make characters stupid on the fly, just to get what he needs.

Echoes Act 2 is so much stronger than act 3, which is why we pretend like it doesn't exist later. Same with Golden Experience and the attack reflection, but at least when it's gone, it stays gone.

No, Sticky Fingers is the most egregious. There is never a point where his abilities maintain consistency.

It's amazing but my favorite part of the finale is her deducing that they can escape Pucci through the ocean because unlike on land his speed in the water is as limited as their own. And the fact that she strings a dolphin to do it. It's all so perfect

Yeah the Josuke vs Kira fight was fantastic. Come to think of it, the entirety of part 4 starting with Kira killing Hauato is just superb.

Jolyne countering C-Moon by turning herself into a Mebius strip was peak bullshit tactics. Joseph would be proud lol

Part 4 is my favorite (tied with 7) mostly because the main villain who has 4 stand powers, is defeated by Hayato, a completely powerless child. The amount of turnabouts that have to go on for that win made it absolutely riveting to watch and made the moment where hes finally able to cancel out BtD and get Josuke on his side so fucking satisfying.
