Donald Trump is on the MOVE again after just moving to Florida while fleeing his home of several decades of New York but he's going to NEW JERSEY this summer as he is apparently tired of the stifling heat and humidity and would rather be closer to his New York Businesses where he built his empire and political network ahead of his possible 2024 re-run!!

The 74 y/o officially moved to Florida for "tax purposes" in late 2019 and spent his significant amount of time during the winters there but will spend his summers in NJ to stay closer to his Bedminster golf club

Is Mar-a-Lago, a private club serves his residence and post-presidential office with many residents head north to flee the muggy, swampy summer weather

They are moving the whole operation to Jersey because they're going to start fundraising as he said he is "beyond seriously" considering a run again in 2024 and being close to Manhattan helps him network with donors, strategists and political heavyweights

NY Prosecutors are still investigating his tax affairs as Cy Vance is looking into possible charges of criminal tax fraud

Letitia James, the AG of NY is also looking into his affairs on the Trump Organization.

His adult children however will stay in Florida..for now but Jared Kushner's family still lives in Jersey but they are aparently renovating a property in NJ and may go back north too

Only Eric Trump is remaining permanently in New York

Kinda expected it I think. Lots of people can't stand the heat there, especially people who tend to live up north.

I think he should've picked a better place than NJ though.

Long Island NY is one of the best places to live in the US in my opinion. It's not as crowded/downtrodden as manhattan etc, it still has all the great food, you can take a train to the city if you want easily, and the rent prices are even lower than Brooklyn etc.

I have a relative out there and am considering moving there. The Chinese food is good and delivers, the itallian/pizzas and meatball subs/calzones are to die for. There are real delicatessians and at least on the island the cost of living isn't too bad.

I would not live in Florida with all the insects, the heat, the crime, the just plain craziness if you paid me. Even tough I actually like heavy storms/hurricanes etc and that would be a bonus, it's not enough. I don't even like VISITING florida. Also spring break.....UGH.....No thank you.

Long Island tough, is much like the bay area to me, but without the insane prices. It's kinda like living near the bay area in a way, but honestly anywhere near the bay area is STILL way more expensive than Long Island, and you'd have to travel to get the good food.

You don't need to travel from Long Island for good food, but you can if you want to.

Having lived in Florida, I can say that almost all of that is exaggerated. And a few summers ago, CT was hotter than FL every time I checked. That said, FL has humidity which not everybody can take. And I know that the racial demographics can make some people uncomfortable.

I wouldn't mind living in Florida again, but I don't have much reason to go back there.

I might try out Texas someday since it's got a growing market with a low COL and lower taxes.

Living on Florida's west coast, news that you know who wants to move to NJ is fantastic news but his buddy, the governor, won't like it very much. There are some folks here who would, quite willingly, help him pack his bags for the trip.

The greatest city in the world, or a swamp full of predators that survived the KT extinction; Attorney General for NJ must pleased as punch.

There are lots of people that do summer up north and winter in FL. Not shocked by this at all. And I wouldn't want to live in NY due to taxes (why he left) and I wouldn't want to live in the country's arm pit (NJ) and I wouldn't want to heat of FL for the summer. So neither option is really that great.

Florida for sure, they handled the pandemic better than most states
I dont hear good things from Jersey and New York? .. well, let's just say if the same allegations came up against a Republican governor that was running that state, he'd have been out of a job. Tells you all you need to know about NY
