The non-scholarship player for the Hokies filed a federal suit against coach, Chugger Adair stating he targeted her because he disliked her for her political views It says "Because she refused to kneel, he benched her, subjected her to repeated verbal abuse and forced her off the team" It says her soccer career ended not because of her performance on the field but because of her conservative political beliefs... It says because of her coach's actions, she can no longer play the game she loves despite having 2 more years of NCAA eligibility and violated her constitutional rights and is demanding money for her legal and equitable punitive and nominal damages as well as lawyer fees and for the coach to undergo first amendment training It says Kiersten stayed strong to her beliefs while she remained the only player who refused to kneel during the national anthem and not have BLM logos on her jersey during games.
