While looking through the article again for highlights, I discovered ANOTHER Andrew Yang incident where he got in trouble for "locker room talk" when joking with a guy who was talking about choking women. WTF? >_>

As for the LGBTQ complaints, the MSNBC article spells it out a bit better:

The candidate on Wednesday met with the Stonewall Democratic Club of New York City to seek the Democratic LGBTQ organization's endorsement, but he ended up offending its members, The New York Times reports. Yang, according to the report, "cited gay members of his staff as apparent evidence of his openness to the club's concerns, and expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of visiting" the New York gay bar Cubbyhole.

But Yang neglected to focus on "substantive issues that our membership cares about" and "came off poorly," the club's president, Rose Christ, told the Times. One member, Harris Doran, took issue with the fact that Yang "kept calling us 'your community,' like we were aliens," while the Times also cites an online chat that accompanied the forum in which one person wrote, "Gay, gay, gay. Wow. More to us than just that."

Unrelated controversy. That's the thing, though, every time I try to look into one controversy I find two others.

There's the LGBTQ comments today, the protest letter from Asians today, joking with a comedian about choking women last week, blowing off a Muslim forum to talk to an Islamophobe. etc.

And I wasn't even looking for a Yang controversy. I just wanted to see how the race was looking so far.

Reminds me of the whole bs "cultural appropriation" stuff

A few Asian Americans whining about white people wearing cheongsam/qipao and other traditional Chinese clothing. Then I think serpentza or someone else in China goes and shows people on the street pics of the "appropriation" what they think about it and it's unanimous approval and happiness that other people are interested in their culture.

I'm pointing to controversy that a liberal has within the liberal base. Meanwhile you're so desperate to disregard it that you're pretending that signed petitions aren't concrete nor is the fact that the place he offended wound up giving their endorsement to one of his opponents because of his boneheaded statements. Just think: Had Andrew Yang not gone there at all, he would have had a better chance at getting endorsed.

Yes, Sam Harris is a legitimately awful human being whereas not everybody who criticizes Islam is necessarily an Islamophobe. [EDIT: Maybe I won't go that far. I still find Sam Harris awful, but it's been a while since I've tried listening to any of his propaganda so I'm not sure I'm going to condemn him that broadly.]

Maybe I'll grant you the petition because that's presumably more based on shit he did in the past (although it's still possible that some signatories were more recently offended by his actions), but the OTHER controversies are new. And here's the thing: Every time I try to look into one controversy, I keep finding more. I'm not sure I've seen this for just about any politician except Trump (and in Trump's case, that definitely falls more into the realm of finding anything)

And each article about a controversy references still more controversies. WTF?

And if the board hasn't posted about Yang it shouldn't matter. This is the same type of stuff that Trump was accused of, that you argued was an unfair representation of him. So if these kind of misquotes/misrepresentations aren't relevant, as you established when defending Trump, there should be no reason to post about them.
