I'm pointing to controversy that a liberal has within the liberal base. Meanwhile you're so desperate to disregard it that you're pretending that signed petitions aren't concrete nor is the fact that the place he offended wound up giving their endorsement to one of his opponents because of his boneheaded statements. I also love how anyone critical of Islam at all is a "-phobe". It's fucking Sam Harris! He's about as left as anyone with any degree of influence, and smarter than most people, too. Yes, Sam Harris is a legitimately awful human being whereas not everybody who criticizes Islam is necessarily an Islamophobe. [EDIT: Maybe I won't go that far.
