I've seen that there was apparently a plotline in the show where the Flag Smashers were going to release a virus that would kill off 50% of the population, returning the world to the Blip.

For some reason, they felt that plotline wouldn't go over well currently.

Not bad imo. They're not really trying to make long ass several season affairs. These are more extended movies if anything.

that's my guess, too, but i can't come up with a good second one.

Ross trying to recruit Zemo seems likely for one, maybe even including Abomination to connect with She-Hulk. though that might be too far out.

there really haven't been any threads that even slightly connect to Ms Marvel or Hawkeye, or any of the upcoming movies that i've noticed. I don't really expect Sam or Bucky to pop up again until BP2.

that leaves something mostly random, probably to do with Eternals or maybe the Mandarin.

guess we'll find out soon enough.

I'm like 85% sure one of the credits scenes will be Isaiah telling his grandson about his "glory" days, basically just to end it on some kind of imagery foreshadowing Elijah taking up his own shield.

Glad they rehabilitated Walker. Sam is better as the Cap, but Walker was never going to be Cap.

Amazing finale. Loved the stuff with Carter. That lone after credits teaser was underwhelming af tho.

My man Captain Falcon doing some nice stunts with that shield. They wrapped up all those arcs nicely.

John choosing to save the people over stopping Carli was nice, even though he just goes and joins the clearly evil lady at the end anyway.

And Bucky talking to the dead dude's dad was pretty sad. Almost teared up when he started forcing the confession out. Same when Isaiah saw the statue of himself.

Sharon was the weakest part of the show for me, though. I never liked her in the movies and I can't take her seriously as an edgy villain.

I was surprised to see Karli and squad die, I expected them to stick around but they'll join the MCU's list of what ever one time villains

Liked the Isaiah memorial part

Sam's got some cool action moments, his GRC speech went on too long.

Bucky felt like the secondary guy, wish they put more emotion into him and the old man there

It was a fine ending but I felt slightly below the show.

Lame post credit scene

Walker being buddies with Sam and bucky already was lame

Overall liked the show but it sort of went out with a whimper, kind of like wandavision did

Sharon as the Broker is only underwhelming if youve been living under a rock. It was foreshadowed from the get go and only became more and more obvious as the series went on.

Thats on you for expecting something else, IMO. Were you expecting a rando like Julias character to pop up and reveal themselves to be the Broker or something?

not to mention dull is entirely subjective considering where her character started, who she is related to, etc. its pretty big for someone associated with a family that has a history of serving the country, especially if Steve....yeah...I digress. Anyway, its big that she turned her back on said country and went rogue.

My guess was it stays a mystery. I do wonder why she let zemo and crew so close to the golden goose. why she killed Selby.

I will say I am digging new Sam and totally ready for him to be Cap in a show or movie.

When Steve gave it to him in endgame it felt unearned because Steve went on a big adventure and this guy was dusted for 5 years then comes back and becomes Cap. I'm glad there was a story to him earning it.

sigh, can't believe they ruined sharon carter like that, she was my favorite supporting character in the cap comics. guess there isn't much else for her to do without cap to play off of

also, emily van camp has aged quite a bit from her "Revenge" days, she isn't as hot as she used to be

but it was fun to see her pull out that "turn away from the camera and immediately change to her real expression" face she perfected in revenge (is there a trope name for that)

Gotta admit it was kind of heartwarming to see the closed captions say "Captain America grunts" in reference to Sam.

lmao Walker's such a fucking bitch. Even with the serum and his new supervillain powers, he's still losing to a little girl with no military training.

Seems like a lot of Batroc's problems would have been solved if he'd fired real grenades instead of smoke grenades.

Oh, Sharon's the Power Broker. I mean, the hints were there, but I was sure she wasn't. I guess she just let Zemo, known for his virulent hatred of supersoldiers, into her secret lab where she keeps the only guy who can make the supersoldier serum. So...she's an idiot.

So Walker decided to be a good dude, I guess. Which means Karli is meant to be the main bad guy. Well, that's disappointing. The episode seems to be hinging pretty hard on you sympathizing and caring about her, but I super duper do not give a shit lol.

Sam's speech is pretty good. A little hamfisted and corny, but hey, that works for Captain America.

It does make sense that Zemo's butler is capable of car bombing.

Kind of a letdown finale tbh. The main issue being, as I mentioned, that it hinges hard on you caring about Karli.

It's crazy that in just one episode, they were able to make me do a 180 on Walker's character, even through the heinous shit that he did, I fucking loved him.

My wife and I commented on the closed captions, lol. One of the benefits of always having CCs on because the TV is usually down low so as to not wake up gremlins

Overall pretty good episode. Obvious questions like why isn't Spider-Man here since this is his territory even though the answer is obvious.

Loved seeing Sam as straight up Captain America, especially when it said it on the CC.

The speech was alright, but the situation they were in seemed dumb as fuck. A bunch of council members start chatting with this guy seconds after escaping, right out on the streets. No paramedics or anything. Instead, every one circles around to nod and and news crews are broadcasting this all around the world.

Walker was a flip. Last episode I was like "fuck him", but when I heard him call Karli in this one, I got super hyped that he was about to kick ass. He became too chill a little too fast, but I liked it still.

Bucky's stuff was bittersweet. I'm glad he left that old guy's life and it didn't become some cliche "well, I forgive you, let's go get some tea"

That Isaiah thing at the museum hit me like bricks. I seriously thought he brought him there to check out Steve. Sam did an amazing thing for him.

And finally Sharon. It was obvious, but I think that's a horrible direction for her character. She seems horrible as a villain. The whole thing just felt shitty, and it's partially because of her and Peggy and what she meant to everything. Also the implications that the rest of the Avenger jackassess just left her to rot after Civil War.

It was definitely an underwhelming finale overall, though it had its moments.
I'm glad they took the time to earn Sam taking up that shield, but he better get a fucking movie after this.

I don't really understand the Isaiah museum exhibit. Was Sam just casually exposing massive government secrets to the public? Or was it just a tribute to a completely unrelated soldier that "died" in battle? Without the super serum stuff, there's nothing connecting Isaiah to Steve, is there?

It was presented in a nice way, but the implications are either that Sam is exposing dark government secrets(and that the exhibit will be removed), or that it didn't actually tribute anything important to Isaiah's life and will be seen as just a random statue in the wrong museum. Even weirder is that Sam said everyone would remember what he did for the country, but neither option accomplishes that?
