Covid-19 itself has an extremely high rate of blood clot formation. In fact, so e of the labs we check before we can get a positive covid-19 test is Fibrinogen and D-Dimer, both of which are coagulation labs and tend to be very elevated in COVID19 patients.

But let me be freaking frank with you - if you think a 44 in 1 million risk of blood clot is worse than a 1 in 1,000 mortality rate for a person in their thirties, you are a literal moron.

I don't know what truth there is to the mRNA vaccines having a higher rate of this side effect or not, but at least for the viral vector vaccines it's very well established that this happens. Simply pointing that out is not false information. Yes, there is important context to consider, and it certianly isn't justification to not get the vaccine; but I'm guessing isn't a false claim. FWIW, it's also very important to consider that trying to suppress legitimate information on side-effects is literally giving anti-vaxxers ammo for the whole "they're covering things up!" bullshit.

No idea why people are shitting on RT. The study they are reporting on has been reported by all the major outlets.

The real reason you should question it is because the study was done by Oxford who helped AstraZeneca develop the vaccine.

But in any case, it seems you have a much greater chance of getting these clots from the disease itself.

Anti-vaxxers will always have ammo, and sources like RT will deliberately provide them some, by painting an incidence of 44 in 1 million as being unacceptably huge, despite the brutally obvious difference in risk of the vaccine vs. the disease itself.
