Yeah, it's like receiving 6 months of therapy within a few hours. In a just universe it would be explored as a more viable alternative to popping pills daily for years on end.

They are being used more and more for cluster headaches too. Fingers crossed because the mushrooms seem to actually help the headaches.

Well all the hippies are old and have real jobs now, so of course they accept them.

I still got clusters even after doing mushrooms. My doctor gave me CC blockers because I knew what times of the year my attacks would start so I could use them as preventative and I never got them again. Been since around 2016 that I had my last cluster

Ah crap. That sucks. They put me on Verapimil or however it's spelled on my last cycle. I was cycle free for probably 7 years. The cycle stopped after a couple months so I stopped the drug. I probably should still be taking it daily but I'm wondering if I'm growing out of the clusters.

Not to turn this topic into a cluster headache topic or anything, sorry TC.

All good. I know people that microdose for cluster headaches and they said it does wonders. same with anxiety. Shrooms, lsd and ket have a ton of medicinal purposes.

Most if not all mass shooters were on traditional antidepressants, which alter your brain chemistry. Yet society never questions these pills.

Oh yes, blame the pills, don't look at the people taking them.

Anyway, I'd be down to try microdosing but I don't think I'd do well with a full-blown hallucinogenic dose.

Given just how many people are on anti depressants and how many of them aren't shitty human beings who go and murder others, the cause seems likely to be with the individual.

I've never done any psychedelics, they kinda scare me but I don't know enough about it. Even people I talked to who advocate for them make it sound like sometimes they can alter you in a bad way. Not like in the exaggerated "permanently tripping" sense but I guess having a weird mood/outlook.

Is that bullshit? Maybe I'm misinterpreting things? People taking too much, or using laced stuff? I would be totally on board with this kind of stuff if it is regulated to keep us safe, unless it turns out there are just inherent risks with it that can't be controlled.

Didn't Anderson Cooper do shrooms on 60 Minutes lol

Reactionary prohibition of drugs has probably done a lot of damage to our society, and making it difficult-to-impossible to study possible medical applications of stuff like psilocybin is definitely part of that.
And I sincerely doubt any of them are as potentially harmful as opiates anyway.

I sincerely doubt that that damage would even come close to the damage that which mass incarceration has caused.
