That's a weird question to ask - asking if an eighteen year old kid is hot? I guess? I'm not attracted to kids and teenagers, even if they're "an adult", are still in a sense kids to me. Especially if they just turned 18.

She also looks much younger so that makes it even weirder.

This is a contradiction.

It's funny how different the opinions on this can be.
The majority of the brains inside eighteen year olds are still underdeveloped. Most stop developing around the age 25. Most teenagers act irrationally, impulsively, and immaturely. While, yes, a lot of adults still do act the same well into their middle ages and beyond, teenagers, especially eighteen year olds that just turn 18 are still pretty much kids. They just get the adult merit badge, but it doesn't mean anything unless they're in trouble with the law.

In all seriousness, can someone please explain how TC gets away with this? Its kind of gross, because I feel like hes one of those people that looks at underage girls and says mmmm Im gonna keep my eye on her, shell definitely be hot in a few years but shell be 18 so itll be ok for me to say that. It skeevs me out.

I know he has his weird Defense Force around here, and, hell, I bet theyre going to mod me for this. But Im not insulting anyone or being nasty. I genuinely want to know why this is acceptable and Im asking in a calm manner.

But then again people always change their minds about what's a kid and not depending on the situation.

Well, yeah. Implicit in the term "kid" is an assessment that the person is insufficiently mature for whatever the context in which the speaker is speaking. It doesn't have to refer to a specific age.

I mean he gets away with it....because they are legally an adult. Pornography does the same thing, tries to get 18 year old girls onto the casting couch.

She looks significantly younger than 18, particularly in that first photo. Part of that might just be the fact she's kinda underdeveloped.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

It's really not, particularly given how much longer adolescence lasts nowadays.

You're asking how he gets away with objectifying people at the AOC? >_>

It's a creepy habit, but by no objective measure is he violating the TOS. And it still beats those super-perv topics that fucking Vegy posts.

Citation? Minor vs major is specific, but other expressions are pretty ambiguous.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

It's not necessarily "forced" as it is a natural outcome of delaying landmarks. While it wasn't uncommon for a 16 y/o to be fully self-sufficient, married, and with children of their own. Nowadays even 25 y/os generally aren't self-sufficient, since they don't finish college until 22-24 (because now it takes 5-6 years to get a 4 year degree) and it takes a while to land on their feet. 50 years ago, most kids had stepped up to adulthood by 21 or 22 at the latest. Today, most haven't by the age of 30.

I'm not going to say that it's necessarily a problem -- well, the kids not coming into own after college definitely is -- but it's been a gradual shift. Not to mention that physiological maturity doesn't really stop until about 25 anyway, which is why it's stupid that we have so many things set at 18.

You say that it does have to refer to a specific age by definition, but nowhere in that definition is a specific age. More importantly "young person" can be anything from 13 to 35, or possibly even older depending on the observer's viewpoint.

You're way past 35 so whatever way you look at it you can't pass as a "young person".

You're old! You don't understand us young people!
