i saw this posted on the internet and it blew my mind but here are some ive read:

michael jackson - missed meeting on top of twin towers that morning after oversleeping

mark wahlberg - last minute flight change from flight 11 to a chartered flight to canada

seth macfarlane - was supposed to be on same flight as mark wahlberg, got too drunk the night before and missed the flight with a hangover

bryan currie (writer of green book) - was supposed to be on same flight as mark and seth but showed up late to the airport and they wouldn't let him on the plane

ive also read that people close to celebrities canceled their flights that morning as well but that could just be false internet bs. the link they sourced that to looked sketchy to me so if anyone knows more about that, that'd be interesting to me. i love me the conspiracies (actually i dont because i believe them) but anyone think there's a chance mj, seth, and mark were all tipped off ahead of time? they're all actual a-listers in the entertainment industry. am i underestimating how often separate celebrities would be riding the same flights as each other?

it seemed legitimate. i saw two different online newspapers with articles about these celebrities. are you going to amend your position to wow this is shocking if its verifiable or are you one of those oppositional at every turn people

I had a friend once who worked scheduling local shit in the Chicago area for "celebrities", usually barely B list but the occasional big name, and he would constantly bitch that they are late to everything even if you remind them. So even if this were true which I doubt it also wouldn't be surprising to me.

Doesnt seem bizarre, seems pretty normal considering a lot of these people probably fly at least twice a week (which is why so many stand-ups start to do airline jokes once they become successful; flying takes up a huge portion of their life), and thousands of meetings were held in the world trade centre every day.

Well all of those you listed aside from MJ are from the New England area so all of them being booked on a plane departing Boston heading to Los Angeles isn't really unusual.

Of course, he ran away as fast as he could. I was in eighth grade watching it all happen and thinking "I think my dad works there, I hope he's okay" but my mom didn't take me out of school so I assumed all was well. Eventually that night he called and said he was okay but he was stuck in the city for a couple days. Little did I know that event would fuck up my teenage years quite handily. Let's just say losing your job and all your coworkers and a bunch of friends doesn't help someone's mentality.

Well remember Mark Wahlberg said he would have prevented 9/11 had he been on the plane.

The only one I've ever heard of that's definitely been confirmed was Seth MacFarlane. Maybe some of the others are urban legends? I feel I would have heard about some of those other ones before but I haven't.

And that was pretty much his only notable show at the time. And it wasn't nearly the big name it is now - heck, it got cancelled for a while shortly after said season.

A lot of people don't remember Family Guy was actually cancelled twice.

Didn't really gain a cut following until Cartoon Network picked it up for the Adult Swim block on late night. Then DVD sales is what what really made it take off. That's why it took until I think 2005 or so for Fox to pick it back up for a 4th season.

In retrospect I wish King of the Hill blew up bigger.

Between Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park, KOTH took a backseat for me. It didn't "push the envelope" enough for my teenage angst.

I've come to appreciate it so much more later in life. I wish I was more into it during its original run.
