http://www.justjared.com/2021/04/08/lance-armstrongs-son-accused-of-sexually-assaulting-16-year-old-his-lawyer-responds/

Famed cyclist Lance Armstrongs son, Luke, who is now 21 years old, is being accused of a rape that allegedly happened in June of 2018, when he was 18 and the girl was only 16.
He was arrested and charged in the sexual assault on Tuesday (April 6).

The events were detailed as followed: The 16-year-old was at a party, intoxicated, and called Luketo pick her up. She says she does not remember the drive home, and when she came to, she was on a couch in a location that was not familiar to her. She woke back up later and allegedly found Lukeon top of her, allegedly raping her. She says she was not able to consent.

A phone call reportedly took place a few months ago between the now 19-year-old female and Luke, where he did admit to having sex with her at his dads house in Austin, Texas. Police have investigated and say they have found other witnesses who have corroborated her story.

Lukes lawyer released a statement to People, denying the allegations.

A complete review of the facts will confirm what has been alleged absolutely did not occur and a proper and thorough legal process will exonerate Luke, his lawyer told People. What occurred three years ago in high school was not a crime and was not a sexual assault. It was a consensual relationship then and continued consensually between two young adults, with both ultimately going their separate ways. These charges should never have been filed, certainly not three years later. However, thankfully, the Texas court system works and will establish Lukes innocence.

It is kind of confusing because state laws differ. Where I am in Louisiana it's illegal for anyone under 21 to purchase alcohol in any capacity but they're allowed to consume it under parental guidance for the most part. But I don't think every state does that

Do you expect all of your friends to rape you when you are drunk and ask them to pick you up?

Well for one him to not rape her. Personally having been in that situation myself (getting drunk people safely home) that's not something that ever crossed my mind to do.

Its kind of sad if you think about how he probably could have not raped her and just dated her normally if shes trusting him in this capacity.

no, but "dont call a guy to pick you up when drunk" is like telling a kid "dont open the door to strangers".

it shouldnt result in anything bad, but it should be a fundamental lesson you teach your kids from a young age

That's a yikes. Wonder why she waited until now to file though. The attorneys are definitely going to try to use that against her.

Based on the lawyer's statement it actually does sound like they were dating? Or at least fwb? But why is an 18-year old fwb with a 16-year old in that scenario...ew.

I've had plenty of occasions where female friends called me for exactly that. You believe they made a mistake and haven't leaned "a lesson"? From your original post (what did you expect to happen) you believe any guy will rape a drunk girl?

nah thats not what i believe

im saying that its an incredibly risky situation and even if not that far, its quite easy for a sober person to take advantage of a drunk person in that situation.

basically, "dont trust men" and so women should always remember that imo

Yeah...that's sorta weird. If you feel you were raped, why wait 3 years? Especially when it's a situation where you're under the age of consent?

yeah, they definitely should have been mindful of it at the least.

thats nothing to do with you being a nice/respectful person though, just that you gotta be mindful and just not trust a guy because he's sober

Who's "mindful" of anything while blackout drunk? Seems kind of silly to say.

i dunno, people dont start eating out of toilets and drinking detergent because they are drink. they are still capable of using their brain, hence why she was able to even make the phone call to the person she wanted to make the call to in the first place

if she was raised with that type of thinking, ten bux she wouldnt have called him

Ok so we've established that you feel my friends should "have been mindful" about calling me (a guy) when drunk, but you don't believe they made the wrong choice. Do you believe that same thing about this case? Because so far you give the appearance that you believe the girl *did* make the wrong choice in asking her guy friend to come pick her up.

Also, you believe mouthing off to a guy with a gun is the same level of "not being mindful" as "asking a male friend to take you home"?
