Make some practical armor, or don't wear armor at all and explain it as dexterity/speed and not getting hit. Then you can dress however you want, sexy or not, and it will look less silly than random little metal bits that are probably uncomfortable for no benefit. It's only problematic when random armor is full-body for a man, but for some reason revealing when reequiped on a woman.
