Red states are probably where most of the civil war would be fought since the big cities are liberal and the rural/suburban areas are conservative. Blue states are a bit more uniform, plus lack of gun ownership means the blue states can enforce martial law easier.

Any real war plays out the exact same way the first one did. The manufacturing capability and population difference alone eventually crushes red states. Not to mention red states are mostly at the bottom in terms of education and at the top when it comes to obesity. I'm not overly frightened of a fat redneck who has spent his life drinking in honky tonks and smoking three packs a day. They make up half my co-workers.

they have some key disadvantages: the blue states have smarter and more educated people (its not an insult, look at the % of people with college and advanced degrees in red and blue states, or look at where the Ivy leagues, MIT, etc are) and more people in general, so you would think the blue states would win... however the red states have a lot of people with paramilitary experience and former law enforcement experience

i think the demographics are not as even as people are believing. i dont know how many adults are in america offhand i know last election it was about 80 million to 70 million but for the sake of argument id say lets assume 300 million adults so only half of them voted

1. 18-30 year olds are the least likely to vote and usually vote blue
2. independents generally align more with blue than red
3. non-voters generally are blue but think its all a waste of time
4. retired voters / old people generally vote red
5. obesity rates are all highest in the reddest states

so taking all that into account id bet like 180 million would go blue compared to like 120 million for red. then from that, like half of those red arent going to be able to fight whereas only 1/4 of the blue wouldnt be able to

so id guess its more like 135 million blue vs 60 million red

itd be a landslide victory
