Amazing new arcade went it right by my house. Very excited to play desthsmiles and dodonpachi and DDR and some others. Cant deal with this though its worse than walking around new work. Its like 1000% compared to time square on a busy day

I'm torn between making a sarcastic "There are modern arcades?!" comment, or pointing out that what you're describing is pretty much what arcades have always been, going all the way back to the 1970s.

I'm surprised someone opened one at all. I thought all the arcades in the U.S. are going under.

Even in Japan, the place where arcades are the most popular, had a lot of the famous ones close.

This one is like Dave and Busters on steroids. I saw another giant one open a couple years ago when I lived in another city.

This.

Arcades were always overstimulation. That was half their appeal to their target audience.

I think they're actually opening BECAUSE of how things are right now, where a lot of malls have empty storefronts that they're just trying to fill. I can't imagine them lasting long-term, but they made malls look less empty and create an attraction.
