Ok? One of the symptoms of the second vaccine, which almost always happens, is severe flu for up to 48 hours. If you think I'm going to put myself through that and not take advantage of it, regardless of whether that protection is only perceived or not, you're insane.

Its not useless. It works against most strains we've seen so far.

But as new strains keep popping up vaccine resistance has become an issue and will likely become more of an issue.

Also you do it so that maybe one fucking day we actually can get past this. Which is gonna take a fucking lifetime if people keep being as entitled and selfish as you are right now.

Basically the longer people like you keep acting like you are the more variants we will see, and the longer this draws out and we may actually hit a point where the current vaccine really is next to useless.

So, maybe instead of being so self interested, actually realize that all you're doing is fucking over yourself and everyone else.

For real dude its not even half the burden on you that it is on those of us who work for a living and pay our taxes and have actual social groups we would like to get back to seeing regularly.

Also, I don't know if anyone here knows about history, but the regular flu, which is the influenza virus that came out over a 100 years ago, also killed many people, and now it's just the regular flu that still kills people yearly. Although the difference now and then is that our medicine is much more advanced.

Covid is going to go away soon. The shut ins can stay in forever if they want. The rest of the world will move on.

I implied no such thing. Again, address the actual point. Variants. They exist. There are likely to be more. Current vaccines don't orevent them at the rates they prevent the base virus. "Me vaccined so me safe from all covids " is not a realistic approach to have.
