Knowing a location and getting to that location are two entirely different animals. You can know what street the White House is on but if you've never driven in DC before are you going to easily find it?

By following road signs, using an old-school map, Google maps, GPS, asking directions from literally anyone, having a basic ingrained sense of direction and going in that direction till you find it, or having her tell you?

Or taking a cab and saying "I want to go here."

Probly several other ways even.

If you can't get to a place then for all intents and purposes you don't know where it is.

So what's the problem? Either the vaccines work or they dont. Saying "oh they work now but sometime down the line-" is just reinforcing the idea that no one has any clue what they're doing. meanwhile we gave out two measly rounds of cash that werent even the majority of the spending thus far, while ignoring the realities of people who got fucked financially by the shutdowns and students who are now looking at 1.5 years of their youth lost

if we really wanted to do whatever it takes, wed have given households $50,000 in cash to take a year off and stay around the house and in the community at a distance

which we could have done, if our elected officials besides AOC werent so stupid or inclined to ignore real solutions
