And people are trying to move on? Something that people don't realize is that when all the hysteria was going on each state was only getting a couple HUNDRED COVID cases per day and then by summer maybe one out of ten days had one thousand cases per day.

Then October hit and every state shot up to thousands upon thousands, some times well over ten thousand, cases a day. While the peak is long past us, most states are still getting thousands of cases per day.

well, the difference now is that vaccines are rolling out on a large scale

i don't think that means restrictions should be lifted yet, but i get why people want it, they want to get back to their lives

This is the lowest we have seen the Covid cases per day since mid October of last year. We still aren't near our lowest points ever in like April or May of last year, but with more getting vaccinated it should continue to drop.

Just 3 months ago in January it hit a peak of 300k cases per day across the entirety of the USA. The estimation of those vaccinated in the USA with both shots is only 40 million which is 12.49% of the US population, so we aren't even close to "mostly vaccinated" yet.

It was only to influence the election. That's why China released the virus during the time it did.

Our numbers have actually dropped significantly here in Wisconsin. We've gone from thousands to a few hundred a day.

I still take all precautions though.

The stock market certainly isn't - Dow and Nasdaq are nearly doubled from where they stood a year ago.

And restaurants are beginning to open up again around here, whereas a year ago they were beginning to close.

It's annoying that it's still going on, but March last year was when North America was just starting to get infected, so I don't know if it's a fair comparison.

Sure but its only about 20% higher than a year and a couple months ago. \_()_/ Still very good but we kinda expect 10% higher on average and when it raised we expect it to be higher than 10% to count for the years it was flat

Covid is almost completely gone from my state. Things seem better tbh.
