So the whole album just dropped on Spotify and I've been listening to them. So I figured, hey, why the heck not.

I mean, we know Agatha All Along is gonna win but all the other openings are quite great in their own ways, so I'm interested to see which ones come out on top.

Agatha All Along is the best. Not overthinking this one. Visually it doesn't really work like an opening theme (aside from the spooky title text) but the song is too much of a banger to not rank it #1.

We Got Something Cooking I think has my favorite combination of a catchy song and visually playing with form - all of the visuals just really capture the style they're going for here and the song is an earworm.

A Newlywed Couple is a fantastic opening for the series, really does a great job setting that four-note "Wan-da-vis-ion!" motif that the series keeps using again and again. Also just a really fun throwback to a much older era.

Making It Up As We Go Along is terrible and that's what makes it great. This is easily the most noxious style of opening in my opinion, and the fact that they sell its terribleness so great is what makes this probably the funniest opening in my opinion. It's ironically good, as they say.

WandaVision! is catchy and has another good establishment of that four-note motif, and while the animation is charming, it has sort of an uncanny valley feel to me - I just can't escape the sense that it really doesn't seem like any animation from the 60's, it's clearly made with more modern techniques, and that kinda takes me out of it.

W-V 2000 is good, it's not really their fault that the style of the late 2000's is the most minimalist of any of these and that translates here in what's probably the least interesting playing-with-form we have here. The song's cute though and I can tell they have fun coming up with all the shots.

Let's Keep It Going is the worst song by a mile, but the late 90's vibe is pretty funny, so I don't hate it. I find it the least charming of the lot though.

Agatha All Along lost a lot of its punch for me personally as we found out the next episode that it wasn't really her all along.

Poka Rankings

1. Agatha All Along (EP7/1950's-2000's)

- Easily the best one of the bunch. Kathtryn Hahn's performance throughtout the series was phenomenal, and her reveal as Agatha Harkness with this opening was the cherry on top.

2. Let's Keep It Going (EP6/1990's)

- I'll be honest, this one is so high because I just love its 90's vibe. The tune, the lyrics, the visuals being Tommy just going around and bothering everybody while videotaping was great. Also the only opening with Evan Peters.

3. Making It Up As We Go Along (EP5/1980's)

- Growing up, perhaps my favorite sitcom (and I watched a lot of them) was Family Ties. So having this opening basically being a mirror of it was a blast of nostalgia. And although I must admit I never watched Growing Pains, seeing the baby and kid pictures of everyone (Vision's being the best/funniest) was cool.

4. We Got Something Cooking (EP3/1970's)

- I didn't like this opening much at first, but it definitely grew on me. Partly because of how it's probably the one that shows Wanda and Vision interacting the most with themselves and other characters, and their acting and facial expressions are the very best. I especifically love all of Elizabeth Olsen's expressions as Wanda.

5. A Newlywed Couple (EP1/1950's)

- When I think of the official WandaVision theme song (if there was one), what comes to mind are the first few seconds of this opening. It was our introduction to this amazing MCU series, and although it's almost at the bottom of my list, it is in no way bad. I just like the ones above it better.

6. WandaVision! (EP2/1960's)

- This one I'm surprised it ended up so low. Its tune is, at least for me, the catchiest. Even if it's only repeating the title over and over. I guess it's just so low compared to the others because we don't get to see the characters, just their animated counterparts.

7. W-V 2000 (EP7/2000's)

Not much to say about this one. I think this is supposed to mirror The Office's opening, and while I am a huge The Office fan, this doesn't do anything for me.
