What does it mean when I have a quick flash to a memory I don't remember, and that spins off into a strange euphoria for about 30-45 seconds of many memories I don't recall ever being apart of? And then once the wave of euphoria is over, I don't remember a single thing I "remembered".

For example, I'll be a work doing my normal activity and then all of the sudden I'll start feeling really good and start having these quick flashes of, well, kind of like a life I never even lived. Like all of the sudden I'll see a cereal box on the table, and that will trigger a memory of me eating a bowl in the woods [never happened], and then I remember the color of the flowers, and the way I walked, and maybe a few other things.

The whole time I'm pretty much aware of nothing else but that, and it's like a super high I've never felt before. It feels really good, like I'm floating. And like I said, it lasts about 30-45 seconds, and it's over. I'm back to normal and I can't remember these vivid memories I just had, no matter how hard I try.

Not medical, but I would go to the doctor very soon and have them do an EEG to monitor for epileptiform activity. Seizures, particularly ones not under medical control, can be very dangerous and lead to permanent brain damage.

This, not a medical person myself but had a friend that had something similar happen to him. Highly recommend this course of action.

You think so? This isn't a new thing, just never remember to ask about it. It happens like 2-3 times a month, and when they do, it's pretty close together. As in in a span of 5 days it will happen two or three times, and then it will be a month or so until it happens again

No good diagnosing yourself online but some aspects of this sound similar to the forms my focal seizures can take. I'd get it looked at asap if you can. I'm on medication now but it took a long time. Unexplained euphoria and memory issues can be a symptom for certain types.

If you think I'm a Trumper than you need to get your brain checked, too. I hate politics with a passion of the sun

I dunno lol. Have you tagged as Trumper for some reason. There was alot Trumper tagging during that time.
If I have incorrectly tagged you, then I apologize.

Either way, get that brain thing checked out. Sounds weird.

I used to have something like this. My therapist thought they might've been some form of mild panic attack but he really wasn't sure. They went away with anxiety-management therapy though

Yes, go to a doctor.

If they have trouble capturing the events in the hospital because the events are sparse, they can probably give you an ambulatory EEG as an outpatient, but I'm not sure how that works exactly.

I have similar moments but they're very short and instead of it being some moment in the woods or something it's just me remembering doing whatever I'm doing as if I knew it would happen. I just always assumed I could see the future

I'm sure it's because I said something about how stupid something on the "Left" did, so a lot of people just assume that makes me a "Trumper" because I disagree with them on an issue

It's an issue FAR too many people have, which is why I hate politics and political talk

Oh, it's never "been in the woods", it was just an example. I can't give you a real example, because I legit can't remember a single thing about what I "remember"

It's like memories I can feel. It's so vivid, and it makes me feel so f'n happy for a few seconds, and then it's done. It legit feels like a life I never lived, as f'n crazy as the sounds.

No, I'm really glad I asked. Because like I said, it feels good. It's something that I WANT to happen again, you know? I didn't know it was something to be concerned over. I just thought it was something cool to share

It legit helped me. I thought it was just something like a normal head rush, but now I know it might be more than that and I will call a real medical person tomorrow. If I hadn't made this topic, I wouldn't have known it was something I needed to get looked at.

So no, it helped me

That's pretty bad sounding. Honestly sounds worse than when I dissociate because at least then the worst that happens is I have to go back like 2 episodes in my anime to figure out where I last remember watching.

Do you think I have issues with my memory? If you did, you're not the only one, lol.

But I don't have any issues with my memory, in fact I have a really good memory. It's the fake memories that I have flashes of that I don't remember. Like, it's the only thing I remember in the moment, the most vivid feeling, and then it's done. I try and try to get that memory back because it made me feel so good, but I just can't. It's gone forever

Do you lose control of your body? Is it at all possible while this is happening to put pen to paper while it's happening? Or is it too distracting that you wouldn't be able to do that?
