At least this banner will only be 1 day longer than it was in JP. I dont think a 2* should get 17 or 18 day banner period, but at this isnt as big of an extension.

There was this disturbing narrative on Reddit about how 99% of players actually want longer banners, regardless of whether or not they're simply featuring some random 2*, and the people complaining are vocal minorities that are trying to ruin the game or something. Well if true, it's probably because all the people who don't like the system already left, but that's probably not true because it's something that's being said in a lot of different places away from any influence from a vocal minority.

They honestly could've just... fused most of the 2* and 3* banners together. It really shouldn't take that long for localization. The only case where localization should take as long as a fresh development is if licensing is involved, and that's not the case here

On a brighter note, I found something of a hidden gem.

A game called Angelsaga, I think developed by some Korean company but the devs have been leaving english comments responding to any suggestions or criticisms or praise.

The gameplay is a roguelike bullet hell with very simple controls, and the gacha is a rather simple equipment based one with varying rarities and random stats. It's very easy to get an array of 4 legendary equips. I started yesterday and already have 2 legendaries and 2 items one grade below it that are still very good. I think the point of the game is more about having a lot of equipment options and adjusting them according to your current build in your run.

But yeah it's more of an actual roguelike than a gacha game. Gacha is more or less a byproduct, but it's still relevant.

One thing though is that there are a lot of like rewards you can get for watching ads and such. But they're not entirely necessary either. The ads you watch for the free pull is also weekly

Fucking hell how random is the Guardian Tales arena? One match I lose with the opponent down to 7%. Both my stats were decently higher than his so I try again. Win with 71%. Seventy-fucking-one. There shouldnt be that big of a discrepancy <_<

Arena is a clusterfuck and borderline rock-paper-scissors with the element advantages. It's my least favorite mode in the game. I can't fucking wait for the picks/bans season.

Probably the Saren for the support she brings? Kyouka maybe if you've got other magic units to work with her, but Saren is an excellent unit for CB supposedly? Only just got her myself, so only know what I've read on reddit >.>

And yeah, I don't mind the slower pace too much as means I can keep it as a side game and not fall behind too much. I get why others dislike it though.

I did end up leaving Priconne due to the loooong banners. It was all just so drawn out and got really boring. I've seen people making the argument of "It's more time to save up currency" which confused me. idk about you guys but currency from normal daily stuff was almost nonexistent, the bulk of it (for gameplay) comes from arenas and doing stages. Longer banners, more time between stages, less currency, right?

For me, it's more time to build up gear as I don't intend to spend so building currency up for banners isn't something I really pay attention to. Otherwise, yeah. The drip of crystals to actually pull with is pretty slow. But then I usually only pull once every few months in gacha's.

From what I've found/seen Jun, Makoto and Kaori are probably the best 3 to have for support from what I can see. First two for getting defence down in every attempt and Kaori for a big hitter for when/if you have your own defence down unites. Maybe Kyoka though for a big mage hitter, over Kaori, as probably a decent replacement in certain teams.

That's how I feel. As someone who hasn't won a match in arena in a month (everyone is using 3 tank defense teams and I can't figure out how to wear them down before the match times out), I'm getting 60 jewels a day. 3 staring stages is definitely where my jewels come from. But I also agree with this:

The gear grind is soooooo slow in this. I've barely got full rank 8 equip for 5 characters so far. Overall I think the pace needs to be picked up, but that gear grind is just killer.

For real. It's awful. The 2x drops are nice, but really not enough. Just so much of it needed, that when you need 20 of each item and every character needs one or two fully built up ones? Takes forever and then needing 30 for what's coming up? Fuck me.

As for the tanks teams, I just refresh until I find someone not using them, or try and use a mage melt team and hope I get lucky. Mostly the former though.

I just do one battle of each for the daily challenge and that's it.

I'd prefer to do it that way as I absolutely hate pvp, but at ~1260 in Battle Arena and ~2260 in Princess I don't even get enough coins to grab shards every day. It wouldn't bother me if they didn't have the characters tied entirely to pvp.

GT's new mode is wild lol. It's a top down grid based SRPG like FE or Advance Wars. Not anything crazy complicated though, more of less just field your best crew and run people over

Oooookay, I just realized that theres a huge flaw in the guild system in Azur Lane. The officers are the only ones who can start the quests or whatever, so if they decide to quit without promoting someone, that guild dies permanently <_<

...which seems to have happened with my guild. Most people are active except for the leaders, so that sucks balls :<

Same, except for having anyone maxed. Speaking of memory orbs, I can't quite figure out maxing a character's stars. Before you draw them enough to max bond you get a character shard and after you get an orb instead of the shard, right? You then use those orbs to buy the shards from the shop, right? But it doesn't look like there are enough shards available to max star someone. How do you get all the shards you need?

There are. Once you buy the 20 shards of that character that are in the shop at first, it restocks another batch at a higher price. I've been raising Iris (an R) so far, and the price started at 1 orb for 2 shards. Then after I bought those 20, more were added (can't remember how many) and they went up to 2 orbs for 2 shards. After I bought all of those, it went up to 3 orbs for 2 shards, and I think I'll max her out before this batch runs out.

I also upgraded Aiko (an SR) up to 3 stars on the side, and the price for her shards went up from 1 orb for 1 shard to 2 orbs for 1 shard after I bought the first 20. I would assume that all characters of the same rarity have the same price increases. Also, I don't know what the price increases for SSR's are, but they have the same starting price as the SR's, so it's possible that they might have the same price increases as SR's as well.

Theoretically, it should be possible to max out any character in the game with just this shop, no duplicates of that specific character required.

I've also evolved Iris once and can confirm the Shard price going up after you buy the first patch. Also I wanted to get Ba'al from that banner with the pity thing but I got Satan instead. Oh well at least her scene is coming up in the storyline soon.
Been checking out the Discipline scenes and they're pretty alright so far. Poor Chris getting cucked and all that

Friedrich is pretty good. Don't even have her to LV5 yet and still made her an okay flagship for a bosskiller fleet in 10-4. Already has 6500 HP, haha.

So I finally cleared the boss battle in chapter 7 of Tenkafuma's story after being stuck there for about a week. Up until then, I had cleared almost all of the prior story missions (even the boss battles, although those took a few trial-and-error failures to work out a strategy) while being several levels under the "recommended" level. When I reached that battle, I was at level 33 and the recommended level was 42, and my team got absolutely curbstomped.

So I took a break from the story, focused on grinding the current event, leveled up along the way, and finally cleared that boss battle just now at level 41. This was the first major progress wall I had hit in the game, and I'm happy to have passed it.

Oh yeah yesterday on the first free 10 pull on GT, got 2 white boxes on a Nari banner. Finally got Nari to go with the Sage Bead that's been sitting on the 1* Ailie since... last year?

The other was a Beth dupe, which I will completely welcome 50 hero crystals. Just wish they'd buff the 3* HC drops already

The only other char I don't own in the numerous callback banners going on rn is Miya. I really want her but not really sure if I should drop the remaining 30 pulls on her banner. Might go for Eugene's weapon dupe instead. Not sure how much that'll be worth

A good tip I learned recently and something you might want to try: if you put Aiko in the third slot of your team to where her third slot buffs target herself, then her healing ability goes completely through the roof. She heals more each turn with her normal heal, and the "cooldown reduction" part of her Ultimate ability targets herself so she can cast her Ultimate healing ability every turn from the fifth turn onwards. If you don't also have Lulu for even more healing, then using Aiko like this is your best bet for surviving really long battles.

As for this specific battle with Satan... she only heals herself once, but you just have to keep pounding away at her. Dont attack her when she uses her ability that taunts and increases her counterattack damage (can't remember its name) and just defend on those turns or she'll destroy you.

Yeah Aiko is probably like top 3 units in the game, which is wild to say for a freebie unit. She's both good as an offensive unit support and a dedicated healer.

For Satan congrats. Just don't worry about her stacking stats too much. As long as you can do a lot of damage on turns where she doesn't do her big guard move thing and survive her attacks, you should've been fine.

I rolled Miya lul. I somehow officially have every character in the large array of banner barf GT has going atm. Sadly no weapon for Miya, and no weapon for Alef but I care about that significantly less.

On Eugene's weapon banner, I also randomly rolled Prominence... I guess my lvl 1 Plitvice will appreciate that. Ahem definitely didn't level it to lvl 60 and not equip it in case I need more weapon fragments or anything ahem
