But anyway I'm at my parents house, and I saw the newspaper open to this comic and thought "wtf" http://imgur.com/a/OiQQ0xP I have no idea what the context of this is. If you can't see it, it's just 2 panels with no dialog. Shows a car screeching past Luann and her friend who are hiding in the shadows like in an alley or something. Ofcourse the paper my parents have gotten for decades decided this week to refresh their comics section by reducing the total by 30-35% and replacing half of what they have with "new hotness" because that'll bring in the new subscribers. Talking the loss of wizard of id, BC, beetle bailey, blondie, luann, arlo and janis, hi and lois, and various others. And one week all that happened was Spider-man and Daredevil swinging through the city talking. Day after day. Like the time Luann bought a skimpy glow in the dark pair of underwear and got asked by her friend who it was for, then she's in the item return line completely disappointed. Supposedly the creator lives in Alaska though, which is cool I guess.... But I have never been a fan of it. I haven't followed daily comics in like 20 years or more. Talk about a mood wiplash Bill Watterson about this in one of the Calvin and Hobbes anthologies. Monday-Saturday comics are submitted about 2 weeks before they run and Sundays are closer to 2 months. Also not all papers run Sunday comics, so very rarely is it worth it for a cartoonist to coordinate a Sunday strip to a story line especially when not everyone will be able to read it.
