after he leads me down to the basement and i see his nauseating crimes i execute him. cops don't care

the man he had shackled to the bed wearing childrens clothes runs screaming out the shop's front door. cops don't care

on my way out of the now empty store i pick up one box of shotgun shells off the shelf as a treat. cops go on fucking red alert and hunt me to the ends of the earth

What in tarnation

I remember playing this game for the first time and I didn't play enough to get to see all the minor things about it..and I keep telling myself I'll go back and play this open world gem but I end up playing something else v.v

Lol I haven't gotten too far in the game but I remember in that first town every. single. time. I tried to tie my horse up at the hitching post it would knock over some guy's drink and I'd get a $5 fine and a wanted star.

I did that exact mission and they reacted exactly how they should of. I had to deal with them while trying to loot stuff. What are you playing it on?

I feel like the pissing and moaning about cops was done by sloppy players. I played 150 hours in the campaign and they never became overwhelming or too disrupting. At least, not enough for me to note it

ps4. i agree if you're deliberate and observant and know what you're doing the cops and controls and stuff are fine. i usually feel in control. in this incident though i think i just freaked and never even tried to diffuse it or whatever

For some reason, I initially thought cops noticed you doing these things and didn't respond. No idea why I inserted that context. I thought this was about a glitch lol.

But yeah, I couldn't get out of there unwanted either. I will admit, ai always struggled with how covering your face worked. But I was also really sloppy with remembering to do it, so I could never pinpoint how much was my fault.

In the first town you can deduce the rival gang is running finance behind the doctor's office or something like that. There's a big metal door leading from the back that you can peak into. So you go inside the front, hold up the clerk, make him let you inside the back. Shoot up the gang members, grab the cash. Well the cops are right across the street so you gotta go out the back right? Except the game doesn't let you. You have to go back out the front. The bandana doesn't seem to do anything either you will definitely be charged with SOME crime even if its just fleeing the scene.

Same game calls you dishonorable if you let a guy who knows about your gang's crime fall from a cliff, but has an early mission where you break an imprisoned gang member out of jail and then help him systematically murder every single fucking person in the town he's held in with no penalty.

The game didn't click with me.

Cops and the Wanted system in RDR2 are so poorly implemented. Almost as bad as Cyberpunk

I've played like 50 hours of Cyberpunk and have barely encountered the cops. And the couple of times I have, I was driving fast anyway, so they had no chance of keeping up.

RDR2's are both more annoying and are harder to get rid of.

That sounds bad in the other direction. Boring. Id much rather have touchy cops, if anything. Sounds like another mechanic that just doesn't work, instead of doesn't work how you want it to.

The cop system was supposedly added in last minute, and definitely need to be fixed.

Still, I'd take Cyberpunk's current barely-there cops to overly sensitive cops any day. I don't want to be bothered by the cops when I'm playing some side mission with Panam.

That just comes down to preference. I don't want to miss out on exciting off script moments with cops. If it has to be a lil wonky in one direction or the other,Id rather them be a lil more intrusive rather than miss out on those moments. I can respect someone not wanting it to ruin the atmosphere they prefer tho. I'm just glad it ended up on my end of the table.

The problem with the Cyberpunk cops is mostly that they have no AI. They literally just spawn right by you. You could be on a rooftop and they will spawn on the rooftop and shoot you.

Just a stupid system.
