I tried reading his autobiography/memoir once. Just pages and pages and pages of drivel. I think by page 5 he was talking about how he wanted to fuck his sister.

Also I don't know how much of the memoir is actually true or not. There's a section where he claims the CIA tried to recruit him because he's just so damn smart which I think is supposed to be a fictional anecdote but I have no idea. The prose is just so stream-of-consciousness

lol definitely not. This is Tim "@108" Rogers. He wrote it while he was still in Japan. For a while, he'd email you a copy if you asked him on twitter, but I don't know if he still does that

I like this dude's content but that quote definitely grosses me out. When I taught creative writing I would have dudes every semester write similar misogynist garbage about how much sex they have and how much it sucks. Weezer's Pinkerton is the only media that gets a pass from me.

He does have one of these essays from 2015 but that's the last I've seen of it. I'd like to think (hope?) he's cut down on that shit in the past few years. He keeps it out of his game reviews, though it does paint some of his sentimentality in a different light. I still enjoy his recent work but a couple parts of the Tokimeki video got some side-eye from me once I knew about that aspect of his past.

In the middle of his review he had a slide up for a few seconds talking about how he had a 15 minute random story designed just to drag it out but the only people who would get the joke were people who already were his patrons and so for the sake of everyone else he cut it.

It felt pretty meta to me, which makes me feel he is doing a character.

Like he's definitely doing a character. Is it a good character? Up for debate. I don't think he actually has the disease where he remembers literally every minute detail from his adolescence onward.

I don't really doubt that he has hyperthymesia like he says or something highly similar to it. He definitely has a "persona" he uses for his videos but it's based on reality as far as I can tell.

He probably doesnt remember every minute but if you listen to the podcast hes on (Insert Credit) it seems pretty likely that his memory really is very extensive

As for the half-sister thing, Ive never read or heard that before but I do know he wrote this thing about what he was doing on Christmas Day in various years and multiple of them mention sex with different women and also a time that he jerked off to a woman he hadnt even met, just spoke to on the phone

Well Tokimeki Memorial is only so long because of the LP segments, and I do honestly believe he won't have nearly as much to say about Cyberpunk 2077, so if it's much longer than his normal reviews it's because he's doing some weird season finale shit that will only be tangentially related to the game. So I think THAT much is accurate.
