1) Louisiana- Most of the interstates are just a straight 3-4 hour flat shoot and anywhere between Baton Rouge and the Texas border is depressing af and you won't want to stop anywhere. Lets just say this, 1 hour in Louisiana feels like 3 lol.

2) Mississippi- I think at the least it would take you 2.5- 3 hours to drive thru the shortest part of Mississippi. I the issue is that you won't want to stop because the whole state looks like Lake Charles, LA. Why is it #2 then? Because at least it's not 4 hours :)

3) Missouri- I feel bad for anyone that had to take that I44 route from Oklahoma to St louis :(

4) Tennessee- Not as terrible scenery but the worst drivers in the nation especially on I24. You won't fall asleep because you will be too busy dodging 18 wheelers and Nissan Altima drivers

I know Texas has an inland border crossing checkpoint in the El Paso general area that you have to go through if youre going the typical westward route. If your car even has the faintest smell of weed, prepare for rapid fire drug use questions.

At least there's corn fields. Kansas doesn't even have that. Just uninterrupted gusts of wind that threaten to send you careening down an endless stretch of hot asphalt with 90mph traffic coming both ways.

Yeah, the Carlsbad to Clines Corners stretch of 285 is notoriously windy. Many days with 60mph gusts coming off the mountains.

There's nothing wrong with it, really. Most of it goes through the Ozarks, so there's some decent scenery.

From personal experience, I'd go with Georgia. I get douche chills whenever I approach the ATL traffic, and the drivers throughout the state are fucking nuts.

Alabama is a runner-up. It's just flat-out depressing to drive through and speed traps become increasingly common as you approach Florida. While North Carolina is a great state, it can be a bear to drive through as well; I strongly prefer to fly to Charlotte instead of drive there.

Yeah, West Virginia might actually be one of the best states to drive through. Amazing scenery, some fascinating hollers, cheap gas, plenty of opportunities to stop at regional chains like Sheetz and Tudor's Biscuit World, and the Tamarack/Beckley Travel Plaza is a GOAT travel plaza. The only negative is the prevalence of tolls in Southern WV.

Its big with a bunch of nothing. Takes so long to go through it. You hit a city for a little bit then a ton of fucking nothing with shit drivers.

I did a cross country trip last march and Texas was the worst state

This. Most boring 6 hours of my life. I also legitimately was afraid of running out of gas since I drove for probably 3 or 4 hours without seeing a gas station.....on the interstate.
