Is that most Americans seem willing to get in an accident that could have easily been prevented just because they're in the right, they'd rather get hit or hit another car than break as its either right of way, Most americans seem to have very bad road rage as well compared to other countries.

They probably have a dash cam because they want to film content. Theyre begging people to jump in front of them so they can use the footage.

the "hey that guy did something wrong, now I get to crash into him" ones I see from a lot of places (seems more like a cammer thing than an american thing)

if USA ones have any trends that I've noticed, it's that there's a LOT of brake checking. also, the more extreme hit and runs are often Florida.

russia is driving like maniacs in slippery conditions with worn out tires. also non-stop "suka blyat!".

UK/australia there's a lot more swearing, and a lot of them have to do with people jumping roundabouts and bad lane changes in sections with really short timing required to get over.

but they pretty much all have some of the same kinds of scenarios, minus those that are specific to those areas, like round abouts. (or those shared mid-road turning lanes that they have in california? dunno how those work).

ive seen some dash cam videos where the cammer had right of way or was in the right and clearly not at fault, but the accident could have been prevented if the cammer was actually paying more attention. A lot of people think that if they see an erratic driver ahead rather than slow down to give them space, they try to pass 'em, which can end hilariously.

defensive driving, even when you have right of way and are not doing anything wrong, is good.

Pretty much. If you can prevent an accident, but don't, you bear some responsibility for it happening. "Don't drive into people" is also a rule of the road.

I think most insurance companies don't care for the most part. Unless there is an injury claim, insurance companies will gladly pay out on an accident even if their driver isn't fully at fault. Think about it, $20k - $30k for a claim (and that is if both cars are totaled) is nothing compared to the amount of money they make daily. The only time it starts to hurt their bottom line is when personal injury makes those claims go into the 6-7 figures.
