Board 8 > B8 Hadespinions Day 4: Favorite main Cast boon

Now, this one is interesting. I don't have a clear favorite but my least favorite is Artemis' since it's just the same with the default cast but with extra damage and crit chance (though not without its use).

Demeter's can be really nice with the proper additional boons but kinda meh at its base state. Aphrodite's is powerful but hard to use with most builds I like due to its very limited range. Dionysus is somewhat similar - powerful but hard to use depending on my build, since it's a slow cast - but I do like the Festive Fog effect, it can really help with crowd control. And the last two are great choices for Beowulf's and Hera's aspects.
Ares is very unreliable in my experience and its upgrades and Hunting Blades only help it slightly. Athena's carried me to my first Hades win...it's a simple one, but quite reliable with decent damage, just not too exciting.
Zeus' is fun to see and really useful to make enemy Jolted, but it's not very powerful. I think I gotta go with Poseidon's since I do like slam builds, and it can help with crowd control, just make them go away for 1 sec, it's AOE, and the damage is okay.

Dionysus, Poseidon (13.64%), Ares, Demeter (9.09%), Zeus (4.55%)

I feel like Cast is what I always left until later in a run to pick up.

Ares is really cool if you go hard into Ares. I've had a few runs where I was just standing back and throwing those death dervishes to amazing effect.

I strongly dislike Demeter's cast. The only time I ever got it to work well was when I got that boon where the beam tracks your location; than that was pretty fun.

In theory I know Festive Fog is supposed to be top tier but I just hate the lob. Requires too much thinking and setup for my taste.

So I usually end up taking Zeus here if I can. I know it's not the most damaging but I like the bounce effect. Plus, there's a great boon (think it's a Duo) where if you don't pick up this cast it does damage in an area around it.

The bounce effect is fun, yes. It's also quite easy to use since you can just throw it anywhere and it'll do the work for you.

Festive Fog

Trippy Shot is so fun. I hated using it at first because it was slow and didn't "stick in" but stacking damage boosts and duo boons on it really grew on me. There's better casts for pure cast builds since the puddles do stick around a bit too long but it's still always a good time.
