Really great game that I took my time with, but my god is the map awful. I read it was a last minute addition but I think the game would have been better off without one instead of fooling me into looking at it only to get more lost.

The DLC was alright. I got it for free with the steam version. If you liked the game then I'd recommend playing it but it's not essential. Also the alan wake dlc was a step down from the mineshaft DLC IMO

Haha I beat it about a month ago and was equally baffled by the map. Sometimes even trying to figure out where to fast travel to for a side quest left me utterly confused.

I beat it recently as it came on Game Pass, and yeah agreed the map sucks so bad. They needed to separate the floors or make it 3Dish with you able to tilt it or something because it's so hard to tell where anything is in relation to anything else.

Haven't touched the DLC but I heard people were disappointed by the Alan Wake one not living up to expectations.

I thought the bad map was on purpose due to the building changing shape and such but it's actually just bad

And yeah the DLC is great since it's more of the same but it's not really that much better or important

Ok thanks, just making sure I wasn't crazy. It just blows my mind they couldn't even make it 3d like Andy said. Instead its all just layered on top of itself and is an incoherent mess
