People are saying nobody should be using that word.

But we know people do use that word but I as a non Black person would never use the word but on the other hand in African-American culture, the word is used rather loosely and not in a derogatory manner but I am sure when non Whites use it, it isn't meant in a good way. People shouldn't call gay men the F word but they do don't they and although it's been watered down to a degree because of the LBGTQ movement, people still use derogatory language in regards to gay and lesbian people.

At the end of the day, if you know using a particular word is insensitive, that's a good indication that that word not be used at all.

Any idiot knows the founding fathers were racist so that goes without saying but they were also a victim of their time as well in that owning people to them was akin to owning land and lets not forget that the use of race as a divide and conquer tool was originated in those Colonies which were the first time laws arose that banned people of different ethnic backgrounds to mingle and live amongst one another. That all started in those Colonies so the seeds were sewn long before the founding fathers were ever thought of but they did use that blueprint to construct the Construction and the Bill Of Rights make no mistake about that.

In order to feel good about themselves, people who owned other people had to convince themselves that the people they owned were not human therefore owning them wasn't a sin and owning them ,meant you did not have to deal with your own morality as it were.

If you kidnap someone and hold them against their will then justify that in your mind that it wasn't wrong, you'll never admit it was wrong. People are in jail right now who claim they are innocent of the crime they committed and they do so to keep from admitting that they committed a crime because doing so means you have to come to terms with your actions and most of us aren't equipped to do that.

Race is a critical part of the relevant context, here. It's far from the only determining factor, and it's not as absolute as "white people saying it is different from black people saying it," but it's a significant enough factor that that's a reasonable simplification of the matter (especially where, even if we ignore race, this guy is not a part of any of the cultures or communities where it would be acceptable).

I agree with some of what you say but at the end of the day we as non African-American Americans as a country still have a hard time dealing with and addressing matters that deal with racial inequalities and that's been that way for a very long time because the fact is if we admit that people who were enslaved and their descendants were treated horribly then we as a country are admitting that we're all in some way guilty for keeping that going.

Most of us didn't own slaves, didn't perpetuate this notion of supremacy and privilege but we are recipients of that system whether we agree that we are or not.

Unless we're applying for a job as an example , that involves jumping, dancing or singing, what obstacles or stereotypes do we as White people face in America. None that I can think of!

If a Black kid does poorly on a test for whatever reason, that failure gets bestowed on the next Black person who takes that test but Whites rarely deal with that in that if a White person does poorly on a test, that doesn't get passed on to the next White person who takes that test.

When Black kids do poorly in school it's attributed to the masses that these people are inferior and that's the reason they do poorly but if a White person does poorly, they just had a bad day and that doesn't get passed to other Whites who come after.
