From October 2018 - August 2020, I've ate fried chicken 88 times. Averaged out, means I ate fried chicken every 7.6 days. Thank god I no longer live near a Popeyes.

I used to live on a farm in South with a big family. We'd have a small breakfast that the lady of the house made, usually biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, fruit, etc. and pack a light lunch of fresh bread and cheese for while we worked the fields. After working the fields all day we'd come back to a communal feast of Southern comfort food that the women of the house prepared. One of my favorites was the Grandma's fried chicken. I ate like this every day for over six years and I'm built like an ox.

It's a popular breakfast dish in the U.S., particularly in the South and Midwest. I grew up believing I was allergic to eggs, so biscuits and gravy became one of my go-to breakfast choices at diners and such. But he best I've ever had was still on that farm. Edit: Maybe the biscuits are just scones. American biscuits are similar to scones, but in NA terminology, scones tend to be sweeter and denser. Similar methods and ingredients, though (flour cut/rubbed into butter as the basis of the dough). In particular, I believe biscuits in the American south tend to be made with softer flours (low gluten content/strength, often sold as cake/pastry flour), whereas scones (as well as biscuits anywhere else) are more typically made with AP flour for a firmer texture. --- This is my signature.
