Do they? Everyone I know hates corporate America. You just live with it for the benefits both in the work place and in society. Don't pretend your life isn't easier with Amazon, Google, cars, and other goods and services provided by corporations.

It goes back to that quote about Americans seeing themselves as temporarily embarrassed billionaires.

The people who love corporations see themselves as being wealthy in a few years or, at the very least, live vicariously through those who have money. It's kinda like being a cheerleader when you can't make the team.

Sadly, this is also true of many people in the US. This the baseline reason for racism in society. "You may be poor, but at least you're white."

Brainwashing and the delusion that life is a 100% meritocracy so the rich and powerful earned what they got. Plus they want to be the rich assholes who screw other people over some day too.

And they also say starting your own business and becoming successful is super easy if you work hard enough. So shouldn't these billionaires who leave just be replaced by someone else? Oh...

They have this idealized image in their head of corporate America as a phenomenon, as being innately conservative and wielding all the power, but they are known to turn on individual corporations when they do liberal things for money (forgetting, of course, that free market capitalism is in fact a liberal idea, with no moral center, not even their own warped moral center).

I disagree.

I've worked in companies that have a employees with a heavy liberal mindset and they generally act like working for a mega company is a privilege and a dream of theirs.

Sounds like outliers to me. You don't see people on the left sucking off the rich/corporations like the right do. There is no comparison period. Most of the right constantly vote against their own self interests because they've been tricked into thinking deregulation and constant tax cuts for the rich are good things.

I work in LA, so it's pretty common here actually.

I'm sure it's different depending on industry and location as well.

A few months ago all the right-wing klaxons were shrieking about big pharma poisoning people for profit, and how greedy corporations were working hand in glove with the "deep state" to enslave Americans through vaccines and media brainwashing. For a few glorious weeks, right-wingers were suddenly preaching about the evils of greed and how no one should trust the terrifying power of corporate America. It was a hilarious turnabout, but all knew that wasn't going to last.
