Pokmon easily for me, I do also like Smash Bros and Mario Kart quite a bit but I bought the DS, 3DS and Switch Lite just for Pokmon

Favorite would have to be between HGSS, ORAS and Platinum

Zelda franchise has always been my favorite. Pokmon second but I feel like my interest in Pokmon has finally started declining after all of these years of me playing Pokmon.

Of the 3DAS collection, I think 64 is the best. Besides the camera being terrible, I had fun in basically every level. I loved exploring the castle grounds and messing around with the wing cap in certain levels. I feel like it had so much fun stuff to do.

Sunshine was my least favorite tbh. Repetitive, and the blue coins annoyed me. Plus that lilypad level had me stuck for daaayyyyysss.

Overall, Odyssey is my favorite Mario game though. tbh it's probably my fav game of all time. Playing it last year was 100% the reason for me revitalized interest in video games. Before I played it, I hadn't beat a video game in 6+ years. I owned a switch and had played Smash for maybe ten hours on it. Now I have a backlog of games I need to play lmao.

Mario platformers are my favorite overall, but I'd say Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door is my favorite Nintendo game. Shame about the new direction of the series, though

Origami King isn't a bad game and I definitely like it more than the previous two games but it still lacks many of the elements I liked about the series in the first place. I don't mind that they want to experiment with the games, I just love the 64/TTYD style and wish they had a least another follow-up in that style before the innovations started. I played Bug Fables recently and had so much more fun with it than I thought I would so I hope indie devs can continue to scratch that classic PM itch

Mario and it's not even close. ESPECIALLY since Galaxy 1 and Odyssey are the only two Nintendo developed games within the past 13 years to be any good at all. (Pretty much the only other good first party games have been Kirby, Punch-Out!! on Wii, and Luigi's Mansion 3. Those were made by HAL and Next Level Games.)

Really. Ever since Yamauchi left Nintendo has become a hollow shell of its former self. Entirely carried by the strength of the IPs Yamauchi built up. Zelda and Fire Emblem aren't even Zelda and Fire Emblem anymore.

GameFAQs has always been Zelda and FF obsessed even though the two franchises are nowhere near as big as the site would like for you to believe.

Poll the general public and it'd pretty much just be Mario vs Pokmon with everyone else being non-factors.

South Korea is one of the biggest video game markets and definitely take gaming the most seriously (THEY created eSports after all.) and they don't give a fuck about Nintendo outside of Pokmon at all. Vastly preferring western games (namely those developed by Blizzard) and MMOs.

I used to play a lot of them, but I have less and less time to do so now. I've dropped the other series, but I still play Fire Emblem when it comes out. I also like FE getting a lot of representation in Smash, but they gotta stop going with the latest lord!

I voted Zelda on the poll but I'm already second guessing it. It's been a favorite for a long time but after BotW it's kind of hard to go back to others. BotW is my favorite game overall though so it might lift it up enough.

If not that, then it's Mario. While Mario games are generally more fun than Zelda to replay, they didn't have as strong an impact on first plays as most Zeldas do.

Third place either DK or Metroid, DK has a higher nostalgia factor but Metroid has much more consistent quality

Pokmon. I also like Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Smash Bros, etc.

Smash, then Zelda.

Although in both cases, its mostly just that both series have games in my top 5. I haven't kept up with the franchise (the last nintendo systems I owned were the Wii and the 3ds).

i'm a sucker for mario and pokemon, when i feel motivated enough to actually play anything. zelda's okay too, but i've lost interest in the newer ones.

smash is amazing, but i almost feel like it's cheating to say it.

It's not the worst, but I never really thought about it until now that the Wii U has nearly all of them. It has BotW, the WW and TP remasters, SS since it functions as a Wii, then there's all the VC stuff. I remember it even has the GBA and DS ones, I think the only major ones missing are LA and Oracles. That's pretty crazy, so lame that Nintendo stopped doing VC

That can get you Wind Waker, Ocarina of time (and masters quest), a VC copy of MM, Skyward Sword, and Twilight Princess... Meaning you can play at least those 5. And they may have the oracle games. That being said, with the servers down, it might not work...

I don't like the WII due to the motion controls. I hear motion controls are not as bad on the Switch due to being able to have the joy-cons as a "normal" controller. I don't know though. Still I plan on playing Zelda one day.
