not to mention the effect it had on pop culture, and the careers of several actors, among other things

I don't mind repeating myself in simpler words for people to understand me so here I go:
BuckVanHammer claims the movie is satire and with that, not to be taken too seriously. I responded that I've seen people taken the movie serious to the point where they dissect nearly every detail and lived their life using this movie as some inspiration AKA taking the movie seriously.. You think I'm full of shit. I show you an example of someone dissecting the meaning behind the movie, taking the movie seriously, not thinking it's satire.

And then you play the "I don't know what you're talking about"? route. Look dude I can see you don't like me. Do yourself a favor and block me.

And for the record, said author also once claimed a flight attendant came to him with a theory about Fight Club actually being about gay men in public bath houses and his response was "Sure, why not"

Apparently got him free drinks for the rest of the flight too.

Heck no. I love fight club. Its my favorite brad pitt starring role movie. And when he looked the best too. Tyler Durden will always be one of the coolest characters in a movie.

Its appeal falls in line with conservative shitbag mentality so I see why you like it

A lot of the book's themes are distorted or just not represented in the movie. If you thought the stuff at the end about blowing up some buildings to magically erase all the debt was nonsense, not only was it nonsense but it wasn't in the book.
