speaking of things that didnt age well, i recently watched Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

sure the fighting choreographies were pretty impressive but the flying effects were kinda cringe for the lack of a better term... lol

Difference is Fight Club dealt with 1st world problems. V For Vendetta dealt with literal wannabe Nazis, oppression and dictatorships.

Heck no. I love fight club. Its my favorite brad pitt starring role movie. And when he looked the best too. Tyler Durden will always be one of the coolest characters in a movie.

Yeah I've always hated that weightless "blatantly being pulled around on ropes" look. I liked the story, but the flight effects kinda killed the movie for me.

I mean its still a well done piece of cinema and if I have 2-3 hours of time to kill theres worse ways.

I think the main problem are those trying to take the "message" out and apply it to the real world.

Project mayhem is a joke and the concept of uber masculinity and the actual pointless fights themselves with some paper thin justification of a higher "purer" purpose is completely toxic.

it's actually a pretty incredible movie with great acting, amazing cinematography, a great script, incredibly memorable lines, and memorable scenes as well

not to mention the effect it had on pop culture, and the careers of several actors, among other things
