I don't have a problem with his Lex either... I think most of the hate for his Lex was ultimately that it wasn't the portrayal they expected.

i'm somewhat of a purist so the fact that it wasn't classic lex was part of the reason i disliked him, yeah. but i also thought he was just annoying.

BvS had so many problems that I don't think it would have mattered at all who played Luthor or how they acted. No actor could have made that "plan" of his make sense.

The only thing I actually liked about Lex Luthor in BvS was that he really fucking hated Superman. My favorite Lex stuff is always just him hating Superman SO MUCH that he just can't handle it, even if he's otherwise a suave, with-it cut-throat business dude.
