Just insane that you would own a business that depends on you having customers and you post racist rants insulting people. Just crazy! If I owned a business, I could care less about someone's ethnicity as long as they're spending their money with me we are good.

If you actually read the story, you get some idea of badly Bumped misrepresented it as usual. Apparently they weren't following COVID guidelines and had been getting Yelp complaints over the service. So the managers started insulting yelp reviewers, and it looks like they were using the same kinds of insults for everybody but some of the remarks had a subtext when applied to Asians. Of course, the shit the article notes as racist seem tame compared to some of the other *shit* they said, which includes cussing out customers and suggesting that they choke to death (and no, that wasn't an Eric Garner allusion, because they used a bunch of anti-white slurs in the same exchange)
They weren't "forced" to step down, considering there was nobody to force them. As far as the article suggests, the only thing they're doing is not managing the place. As far as I can tell, they still own it. All that happened is that they paid lip service to customer complaints by not managing the day-to-day stuff. (In fact, the person who talks about them being "removed" is one of their employees.) The owners had a few defenses for their actions in there -- along with some apologies -- but honestly there's no excusing the kind of shit they were doing, the most grievous of which was violating COVID guidelines considering how many times COVID has blown up in NYC. --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ...
