I downloaded Inigo for the first time since I never usually use followers, I lone wolf it, but holy fuck this guy is a legend. Such a well made mod and character.

Im playing through super slowly though as a bard (using the bard mod), Illusionist, and conjuring weapons and atronachs. Probably the most fun I have had in Skyrim since I played it when it originally released.

Also I am liking the Bethesda made survival mode. Its simple but it works pretty good.

I figured I would make a new file since ES6 will release probably in 2028 or some shit lol

I have tried running Illusion before but this is the first time I am seriously investing in it. It is a super fun way to play, impractical, but fun. But with a follower with a bow it makes it actually viable.

...oh yeah. I completely forgot about Hearthfire lmao. The problem is the houses are kinda boring imo and 2 of the 3 areas are super ugly. I prefer little houses anyway.

I am currently using the Astronomers Loft in Whiterun and its perfect. Its one room but it is a very well done mod. Its on Xbox which is what I am playing on

I do like the one by the water and mountains though. When i played it on my 360, i would come home to bandits or a freaking giant attacking my home. Haven't had it happen yet on the xbox one thankfully.

I wish the Dawnguard DLC wasn't broke on my 150 hour VR file. The person at the gate won't activate and let me progress when I bring the NPC chick. I had to go back 5 hours in my files before I got her attached to my party so I could just go back to the vanilla area without her tagging along. Skyrim is one of the best shitty games.

Ah. I actually prefer Fallout 3 through 4. I never got more than 80 hours into Skyrim on a single file before it becoming one of the only big games I have on VR. As to where I had reached 250 hours on Fallout 4 and over 100 on each of the others. I like Skyrim, but I just feel the gameplay stays fun longer and the post apocalyptic setting is way more interesting to me than the fantasy setting. I could see Skyrim objectively being the better game if you broke them down to a science as much as you could tho. But we all have our preferences, which are cousin to bias lol.

Its funny, I actually greatly prefer the fantasy setting. I never cared for the Fallout world. Its interesting no doubt, but its not my preference. Also those radscorpions freak me the fuck out. At least I can largely avoid the chaurus enemies in Skyrim lol

Yeah, we're hitting a clash of personalities lol. Cause being freaked the fuck out is one of my favorite things. I've desensitized myself to most videogames at this point tho. But anything that is scary, especially in non horror game is really going after my heart.

That's why it's a shame I could never find the ghost in RDR2 :(. One of these days. I refuse to settle for seeing someone else find it online.

You can make those houses a little smaller by not building all the additional wings. When I build one I don't add the wall mounted heads, it makes the place look much nicer.

Illusion is great. Playing a pacifist character can be fun if you have time and patience. Basically just no killing anything directly. Frenzy is fine though.

Every time I decide to play again, I go through the awful process of installing the litany of mods, then I create the character, get to that first dungeon near the starter town, and lose motivation.

Sometimes you can round up alot of enemies to take care of the boss but its alot of trial and error. And yeah, some quests cant be completed that way

The problem is the boss usually just one shots his squad so they dont help much lol. Which is why I am conjuring as my secondary choice.

Dual-casting for Illusion boosts the level of enemies affected by 2.2x. For the sake of argument, if a basic Fury spell worked on an enemy up to level 10 then dual-casting that spell would make it work on enemies up to level 22.

One of my spell casting shenanigans is to use a Magelight to get the attention of enemies, then hit them with Frenzy when they gather. Once they're all fighting each other you can lob Fireball spells at the group until most/all are dead.

This guy gets it. I was connected from the gate, because it came with my VR package and it was my very first VR experience. I usually binge it and then put it away for months at a time tho. My 150 hours is spread out over the whole 3 years I owned it.

What's that? A specific mod? I'm cool with no mods, since I'm not a PC gamer. Any mods I tried on Fallout 4 didn't really have a lasting effect. The tools that give you mad carrying capacity are cool but they also negate part if the surviving aspects. I think that ultimately effects my time in a negative way, even though it feels like it helps.

Inigo is now a bard and has a lute strapped to his back and Dawnbreaker sheathed. What a fucking stud. The bard mod is fantastic. My character and Inigo can basically duel lutes in taverns and get paid for it. This is great.

Also we need to sleep because of the survival mode and if you perform you get a free room for the night. Perfect

Inigo is a companion and he is super smart.

-Will offer you lockpicks if you are low when you are picking if he has any.
-Will run out of arrows.
-Will converse with other NPCs.
-Can be ordered to fight different styles.
-Will whisper if you speak to him while sneaking.

He has his own story and missions too and I keep finding new stuff he does. I never realized how insanely detailed it is. He even sings if you ask him to when you are in the Bards college.

Only problem is his starting weapons are stupid overpowered. I took them and stored them at my home for now until they are fair. He even asks sometimes What did you do with my Ebony bow? I hope you did not lose it. While travelling

They're at the docks in Solitude, Dawnstar, and Windhelm. They were created with the Dawnguard DLC as a way to travel to the Ice Water Jetty without schlepping all the way out there yourself, though it costs 500 gold.

Ah okay. The survival mode does not allow fast travel through the map. Only carriages and now the ferrys. That makes things a lot more manageable now.

One time I had a quest to take someone somewhere and had a follower with me. I never completed the quest, so I had 2 followers forever lol.

I stopped playing it after I beat the main quest but I still need to finish the Dark Brotherhood quests.

Earlier I commented about having to load an old file because a glitch forced an extra companion on me. It wasn't my choice to never complete the quest. Especially since it's one that keeps me locked out of the entire Dawnguard content.

Its a must have mod for me now. Try it. Just take his bow, arrows, and sword and stash it. Once ebony stuff is common in your game just give it back to him lol. Oddly my favorite feature is you can ask him to hang out. Wherever you are, he will sit, eat, cook, and do normal stuff rather than just stare at you. When I am at my home he even says he will be a good guest and will start relaxing while I enchant and make potions. Details

Ebony stuff isn't really OP. Sure, the Ebony Bow has 10 points of extra base damage compared to a Hunting Bow, but it also has a slower draw time for the string. For swords Ebony has 5 extra base damage over Steel. Those are minor values.

Its also the fact that it is an enchanted ebony bow and has 1000 ebony arrows to go with it. That is way too good for someone thats a level 5 lol.

Unfortunately Survival needs to be paid for since it is made by Bethesda. It is kinda like DLC. If you dont want to pay, try frostfall or iNeed as well. I never tried them but I heard they are similar survival mods.

did you know the game has a hard limit to the number of ESP/ESM that it can run? its ~255, and on the current install of oldrim i have one of my biggest issue is doing everything i can not to bump up against that limit since it destabilizes the game.

all told i have about 450 mods active. and it takes a fuck ton of time to get that running smoothly.
