Hmmm?

I'm not bothered by them anymore but when I was little I was scared of them, I remember when I was a kid getting vaccines I was screaming so much that a girl who was next after me ran and locked herself in the bathroom lulz.

Nah I'm in and out of the hospital too much to be worried by them. I can't remember if I used to be. I know I was real bad about having my finger pricked when I was little but that was more the pain that comes with it than the needle itself.

The ONLY time I was scared of needles was when I was in the ICU for DKA and needed my blood sugar checked every hour. The nurses didn't use one of those tester things and just used the needle you put into them. They were in a hurry or something because they always stuck me way deeper than they need to. I thought it was because they were mad at me or something but all of them were sad when I moved out of ICU because I never bothered them and thus I was their favorite apparently

As a kid I hated them. These days I've had that many with blood tests that I'm used to them. I'm not a masochist but I do enjoy watching needles go into my skin.

I watch them. I'm at a point now where I can reasonably predict how quickly my blood donation (#49 is in a week and a half) will go based on how well the tech gets the needle in there.

I actually am. Like, I can barely manage to not think about it when the nurse or doctor injects me with whatever, but there was a time I was left in charge of injecting myself with a medicine I needed once every two weeks. I was excited enough the first time to take responsibility for myself that I was able to do it once, but two weeks later, I sat in the bathroom for an hour, unable to inject myself, so I had to go back to the doctor to have him do it.

Then we had to go to pills after that point. =(

Im okay with being the one being needled, but Im afraid when poking others with a needle. In my medical class at school I just shrugged and held my arm out, but when they wanted me to use the needles on someone else, I was very nervous.

Hated them when I was a kid.

Now...although I don't watch when the needle is inserted when I'm donating blood or platelets, I'm not bothered by them.

Basically this. They give me the willies a bit if I think about it too much but I'll still get a shot

I didn't used to, but I get blood work for my epilepsy medication periodically and I had a bad experience like fifteen years ago. The nurse like pulled up instead of out or something and my arm went numb for a bit and I got this horrible bruise on the inside of my elbow. Now every time I cringe the whole time I'm doing blood work

Yes. I was never scared of them until I randomly passed out when getting some blood work done. When I woke I felt really sick and almost puked. I have had a fear of them ever since.

I don't think I'm as scared as I used to be. I am an acupuncturist, and I sometimes put needles in myself. I am more afraid of the pain because I have low pain tolerance. However, I can take needles and shots.

Generally, no. The notable exception was when I had a local anaesthetic injected into the meat of my cock head in preparation for a biopsy. I made very, very sure not to look when they did that one.

Indeed. Luckily my wife had a tube of EMLA cream (a topical anaesthetic), so I borrowed it and took with me into a hospital bathroom before the procedure; I smeared the head of my cock with it until it was totally numb. Just as well.

Shots aren't too bad. Drawing blood sucks donkey dongs, though. Much bigger needles, it's always been difficult for the nurse to find a vein and they often have to use the back of my hand, and some nurses are just plain terrible at it.

I'm not afraid of needles at all, and I don't remember ever having a fear of them. Some soreness afterward but it's not affected me.

Though I was honestly surprised that after they drew my blood for a physical a few months back I developed no soreness from it at all. :o

I'd say used to be only as a kid. I had gone to the hospital many times as a kid so by around 8 I just accepted I had to get used to them. So I haven't feared needles since.
