No could be, you're just straight up wrong. I don't think liberals, or even a sizable chunk of them believe this shit.

And the crowd I'm referring to are those specific people, the ones who value science only so far as it can be used to criticize the other team, but have nothing to say to extremists on their team who are clearly anti-science to the point of being radical. The lightning bolt thing was an example to show that different cultures might have practices that are incommensurable. She wants to reboot science from the basic paradigmatic level to make it so that it's more commensurable cross culturally.

She's not necessarily wrong too, from what I understand physics has been having a hard time since the 80s and maybe a new approach would be good.

I dont see how summoning thunderbolts is outside the realm of science.

it seems pretty straightforward. If you can do it, it should be testable/repeatable. And if it can be observed/tested/repeated, thats literally science. And if you cant, it may still be true, but falls into the same sphere as religion and ghosts and other supernatural stuff that we dont consider science.

but maybe she explained it better and I couldnt hear it over that obnoxious classroom <_<

Sometimes, you make something great. And it's profitable. But not everyone is great at using it, and the people that are great at it sometimes hit roadblocks.

It just makes good sense to start again and include more people who might do things a different way.
