Was Team Aqua's plan really that bad?

The hit 90s summer blockbuster Waterworld starring Kevin Costner showed us how cool a world filled entirely with water and pirates could be.

Yes it is awful as Groudon would literally destroy the planet through mass ecosystem damage due to the heat. Team Aqua's plan is only ever so slightly worse considering the planet is made up of mostly water. Giving Kyogre almost free reign of that without various proper counterbalances being set in place and hoping they'll be able to pacify it into submission and manipulate it is literal suicide. Gameplay and story segregation be damned, mankind probably isn't going to survive Primal Kyogre without a plan, or a very swift solution they can go to....

Team Magma and Aqua were both stupid af and the only thing saving them was their costumes. Hot Topic Scene Kids and Pirate Cosplay are probably the best uniforms in the series besides Team Rockets black onesies. (Though Im biased towards TR since they look like enemy foot soldiers from a 70s action show lmao)

Is the pokemon's world geographically the same as our own?

Even putting that aside I dont see who'd benefit from magmas plan aside from ground, rock, and maybe grass types. But even that's better then aquas where only water types would benefit.

either plan would make sense if they didnt make them eco-terrorists and just made them actual, straight villains.

Magma wants more land because they want to develop more shit, or make their own country or something idk.

Aqua wants to flood the world because theyre pirates and the bigger the sea, the more powerful a naval-based terrorist group becomes.

like its that easy but no theyre like we want to make the world a better place were also just evil and stupid >_>

From what we've seen so far, it almost entirely is. Gens 1 through 4 are copypastes of parts of Japan, Gen 6 is France, Gen 7 is Hawaii, and Gen 8 is the UK. Gen 5 is the only generation with a region that seems to have an original map layout.
