I just watched it. I liked it. Not as good as the first, but still pretty enjoyable.

For the record, I thought Captain Marvel was one of the worst MCU films.

Yeah there definitely is a bias among RT critics, but I don't think it is nearly as dramatic as you're stating.

Like Black Panther and Wonder Woman definitely weren't the greatest super hero movies ever or necessarily top 5 and maybe not even top 10, but I still enjoyed both films quite a bit.

Critics can only prop up a movie so much. WW84 is at 65% which is by no means a flawless score. Clearly a third of critics didn't like it and wouldn't recommend seeing it.

Black Panther by no means deserve a 96% score. Let's be honest. Critics were only propping up the movie because it's the first ever full black cast on a superhero movie. In fact almost any movie in the past 5-6 years that stars a female/minority/gay lead in an empowerment role is bound to get mostly positive reviews. Another example is Crazy Rich Asians. It's an utter trash drama flick yet somehow it's 90%+ positive just because it stars mostly Asians

The critic industry has become more of a vocal pillar of influence for political correctness than it is for actually rating the quality of movies genuinely these days.

I don't entirely disagree, but I don't think the effect is nearly as dramatic as you're saying.

Like I felt that BP deserved an RT score around 80-85%. I only feel RT can prop up a film by 20% at most, but generally only around 10% or so. I don't think they are so biased to give a truly horrible film a 60%.

I mean, A Wrinkle in Time hit all of the "woke" points, but it still got terrible reviews.

Again 65 isn't a positive rating. If you out it on a grading scale it's an F.

I would not equate video game reviews to movie reviews. Video game reviews skew positive pretty hard. A 65% for a film on RT isn't that bad. It's on the high end of mediocre. It can certainly still be viewed as disappointing and you'd never exactly call that good, but it could be way worse.

It was god awful boring with a by the numbers plot. They went from grim dark in the individual films to trying to shove in avengers style jokes. It has nothing to do with Snyder. It's a bad movie.

65% fresh with a 6.3 average rating isn't really anything special. That's a lukewarm response at best. Justice League has a 5.3 for reference, while the first Wonder Woman is high 7's.
