If you're invited to a cookie exchange party, bringing frosted sugar cookies with whatever shape cookie cutter you had lying around is worse than bringing store bought cookies (at least the store bought frosted sugar cookies are palatable). The only exception is if you are a master baker and can actually pull off a good sugar cookie as opposed to an over-hard over-decorated abomination. But even if you think you are capable of this, you are not. Frosted sugar cookies are a mask for a lack of creativity and basic baking ability. Instead of coming up with an actual creative cookie, you think making Christmas sweater shaped cookies with purple frosting will be quirky and unique. Fuck off with that shit and look up a recipe for some chocolate pecan surprises or macadamia caramel nut blasts. No one wants your shitty sugar cookies!

I would like sugar cookies more than chocolate pecan surprise. I don't like pecans. I'd probably still take them over macadamia caramel nut blasts. I still like frosted sugar cookies, so I'd take them over cookies that I don't like...

not sure what you mean exactly (ie: what are "frosted sugar cookies"?). I vaguely recall some kind of cookie like that that is not as good as it looks and is too sugary. I do know that good shortbread cookies (which may look similar) are friggin fantastic.
