Kanata had her 3d live today. Towa did 2 songs, one with Coco as guest. Suisei did 3 songs, 2 of which were with Marine and Rushia. Was a pretty good concert, though I think there's a definite difference in refinement btwn all the members out of sheer length and amount of practice difference there was lately. It's definitely a good chance for 4th gen to shine in general though, since they had a slight smaller part in the big live show in Dec.

Also always funny seeing the translated comments on any given Tomari video. After 2+ years of doing this shit, she's mastered the art of sounding like a girl to the point where now everybody's convinced that she's just an irl girl pretending to be an oji-san playing a girl just to protect herself and give herself a bit of an interesting edge.

Would be convincing, but there are a lot of Japanese guy streamers who specialize in sounding like a girl. The recently retired Kira was famous for that, though I can't recall a guy who sounds as squeaky as Tomari does. Tomari claims she uses a voice modulator, but considering she can sing in the right pitch, the voice actor most likely does speak in a high pitch, or I guess possibly just ups her voice one octave. Either way, her voice closer to debut is far less refined and even a bit off, so probably the voice actor simply refined his skills over time. Anyways, it's just always fun to think about the context since Tomari's just so unique as an entity it feels like

There's rumors that Coco mentioned Taiwan on stream in order to take heat off of Haachama back in September. Now that we know that Haachama's English streams are what inspired Coco to join Hololive, it seems more likely that rumor is true.

Nah that was a false rumor for sure. Coco wasn't sure why there was an outrage at the time. The situation got worse because the Chinese viewers started to create some ridiculous narrative about how Coco is out to fight China or some shit

iirc some of the fan subbers starting making incorrect translations on purpose to rile up the chinese audience.

apparently there's a huge contingent of antis from Indonesia/Philippines, so it's not just china who's guilty.

Mio's Twitter got suspended, poor thing can't catch a break. Apparently she set a bunch of tweets to go off at the same time, and Twitter thought it was spam and that her account was compromised. The phone number for her account seems to be a landline in the Hololive building, so it's not like she can receive verification numbers either. Hopefully it resolves itself soon.

Coco has so many iconic intros though. Watame's original version did the okite okite, but I guess Asacocos haven't been happening much recently so... Hey guys is also reserved for meme reviews and good morning motherfuckers she hasn't said in a while.
