there are other aspects of games ame is pretty good at, though. like, she had very good movement in outer wilds and that game has notoriously weird movement controls. And she's good at finding secret areas or even areas you aren't supposed to reach at all, like she has some weird instinct about how to climb on top of level geometry that really seems like it's just decorative

well, part in jest but also part true... it's always interesting to me how someone can be good at one game and bad at another when to my untrained eye you think they'd share a lot of the same skillset but I guess games are more different than they first appear

you should have seen astel, he spent like 6+ hours on the tutorial on hard mode. I'm not actually sure how long since youtube kept taking down his stream and so it was split into 4 parts

One random musing, I see Korean translations quite frequently on Twitter, so I assume they're watching Holo and such quite a bit. But weirdly enough, I almost never see Korean in any of the chat like ever. Like Towa-sama has a bunch of English chat, Botan has a weird spike on Russian chat, I think Nene randomly got Spanish in her chat lol, but no Korean. Like there isn't a JP-based vtuber that caters to them, even though it's probably significantly easier to get merch from Korea than from America for example.

Another guess is that weeb-y Koreans probably learned Japanese, since the two languages of the countries actually share a few words at their base, but they obviously sound different. The grammar structure is also fairly similar due to similar roots, so people often say that if you know Korean, it's easy to learn Japanese. Even then, I'm sure it'd be easier to chat in Korean, and they're in similar time zones so can't be that they're missing lives that JP fans are able to reach.

to be honest, i hope they grow the EN branch before adding another language branch. Watching jp minecraft interactions makes me feel that EN is getting left out since they are kinda segregated onto their own server and whatnot with the language barrier
