They snuck one into Infinity War and most didnt even notice it until you started talking about how Forced the one in Endgame is. Both can exist and have positive female reinforcement. You dont have to always sneak female scenes in so insecure dude bros dont get upset.

Theres no reason for it.
its just obvious fan service

Youve had 20 some movies to complain about male dominated fan service that never made no damn sense. Shit like Iron Man shooting beams into Caps shield in Avengers 1. Why? Makes NO fuckin sense in the scene. Isnt explained at all. Just looks fuckin cool. So thats why they did it.

Theyve been doing that for so long you dont think twice of it.

Maybe movies should put all their female characters on front street more often so people dont think its weird to see more than 2 female characters doing things.

Also. If you felt negatively towards it. Its not for you. Step aside and let new fans have their fan service moments. Youll be okay.

Lol even staunch feminists hate that scene. Of course it was cringe/forced. Characters on opposite ends of the battlefield who have never even interacted were brought together in a "girl power" move. Even The Boys made fun of it and did it better.

What gets me about the scene is that there's many other scenes in the franchise that are just as forced, they just don't appeal to women, but people don't complain about them nearly as much.
For what it's worth my wife recognized it as pandering but still enjoyed the scene, similar to how other elements of pandering in the movies are enjoyed by people.
Those "heroes united" shots than pan around while the team is basically fighting in a circle are also terrible. Namely the Age of Ultron one. That movie had terrible scenes.

You brought up the scene in Infinity War and pointed out that no one noticed, because it was done fairly well. Then you defend the Endgame scene which was by comparison pretty low effort.

/Film had a podcast episode with women criticizing the Endgame scene because it felt lazy and overly pandering.

Oh and people do complain about fan service in other films. They always have and they always will. Some fan service is done well and some isn't.

This is an awful topic, because your arguments are incredibly weak. That Endgame scene could have been done way better.

Again for the third time. You can do female empowerment scenes so well theyre slick and flow well into the movie

AND

You take a moment to slap every female character you have on scene at once, make it as obvious as humanly possible. Its still a great thing to see.

Saying theres only one right way to showcase your female heroes is moronic.

Why anyone feels the need to take this scene down a peg is beyond me. Leave your egos at the door and let someone else have their fun.

It was a pretty cringe scene. They should have put more effort into it and made it more of an action scene than mostly a group selfie. It felt very unnatural. That is the end of any argument to be had.

Superhero movies always have editing issues, but only when it's involving female empowerment do we care
It's the same shit with the Throne Room fight scene in TLJ. People complaining about the extras waiting for Rey to kill them instead of swarming her, but literally 90% of fight scenes in movies are the same

People are sexist and don't realize they have these biases

Those types of scenes are the Corporate equivalent of influencers snapping a quick pic of themselves near the BLM protests for Instagram, then jumping back in their Mercedes and peacing out.

Make a good movie about a strong female lead, all for it. That performative type of scene is just comes off as disingenuous to me.

Not a big marvel fan so it didn't really bother me, but still seems like pandering imo. How mad all the fan boys got was pretty good though.

Those are two separate things there. The first is great to see and takes effort. The second is just lazy.

If you enjoy lazy scenes then fine, but don't try to claim it isn't a lazy scene.

I'm sorry that I had much higher expectations for a film like this and you're so willing to be forgiving.
