Also a specific question: there's this one viewpoint building that I have no idea how to scale. I don't remember the name, but it's a big white-ish cathedral...how do I get up it?

Don't worry about that for now. At some point when you're further in the game you'll be able to climb better (you learn a new move) and you can go back and climb it.

There may be a way to do it earlier than that but I doubt it.

It's a fun game, way more exciting than the original one.

The collectible scannable glyphs are interesting - if you like puzzles you should look for those when possible, just adds a little variety to the gameplay.

It's very weird how the open world NPCs/ sound design took a huge step down in 3 and didn't recover through Unity (the last AC game I played). Imo they really dropped the ball in making the open world feel alive in later games. AC2 has limitations, but for the time it was quite immersive imo.

I like the glyph minigame.

I reached his uncle's place in Tuscany

And the Italian really helps with submersion. I don't normally enjoy subs, but Italian is a beautiful language, which helps too

Killed the son of the dude. The letter you get afterwards is strangely humanising

Next I'll have to collect 4 codex pages. Strange that pages of such an important document are just lying around
