Last tracking update was December 7th saying it was in transit to final destination.
Do you think my package is lost or is this common because of holidays/covid?

transit to final destination
Doesn't that mean it was at your local post office and is on its way to be delivered? And it's been like that for 10 days? I'd be concerned.

No. It's in transit to another state I believe.
I'm in Canada and package hasn't arrived at customs yet.

Between the pandemic and the holiday season they're overwhelmed. Your package should arrive eventually, but delays are very typical right now.

I've had a package coming over from the UK that hasn't updated since November 22 and I'm still waiting for the post office to get back to me.

I have one that USPS says was last seen in Memphis on December 1st. No sign of it since.

I have a package that was ordered on Dec. 6th and suppose to ship on the 7th. Still says
Pre-Shipment
December 7, 2020 at 8:19 pm
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item

I am contemplating seeing if I can drive the 2.5 hours to go get my package from the vendor directly since they told me it is still sitting in their warehouse waiting for USPS to pick it up.

USPS tracking will typically stop working once it leaves the USA. Input the tracking number on Canada Post's website. Also, Canada Post in some parts of the country is nuts. We had something that took 4 weeks to travel a distance that normally took 1 week prior to all this covid stuff. I had something take 5 days to travel half an hour. It's a mess.

Yeah I have been regularly checking both. Canada Post is still on "Waiting for item".
It's still very slowly moving in the States. It's in Raleigh, North Carolina right now.

USPS has always been the worst for shipping thing even under normal conditions. I have had packages just disappear for a week and end up on the otherside of the county even when it was only coming from the next state over. I also just had it sit in the same local office because they "forget" it on the truck when it was out for delivery.

It's mostly the pandemic and unusally high shipping during this holiday season. There is however a level of incompetence I find unprecedented in my post office. The guy who delivers mail to my building has been horrible the last two months. In one instance he scanned a package for me as delivered yet nothing was in my box. I called to complain to find out someone else had actually threatened his life over his incompetence. After swearing he had delivered it, sort of calling me a liar, yet a day later comes in and hands it to one of the Housing Authority employees to give to me?

It's at the worst for packages coming to NH from anywhere in the southeast. I have one coming from NJ that got diverted to Washington state on its way to NH. Its crazy bad this year.

The PS2 game I mentioned took 11 days to travel 673 miles. Google maps says this an 10+ hour drive.

Right now? Yeah.
USPS is taking forever for everything to get delivered. It took over 2 weeks for me to get a present I ordered. It had said 2 days. Luckily I had ordered Nov 30th because it could have been a bummer to not have that present for my brother.
Also, it was coming from Cali to Vegas and when I saw how far it was, it said it was a 4-5 hour drive.

Pandemic, holidays and USPS being under funded as of now is causing tons of delays

Yeah, don't be too concerned. I mean, that's a long time, but I've had 2-3 different packages with the same problems lately.
