I swear gamers have never been so anal about "realism" in a game. Like who gives a shit about this type of stuff? Try the same things in a large majority of games and the same shit will occur. Actual bugs that make the game unplayable are the real issue.

Maybe it is just a sign of the times or I am just becoming jaded but the general gaming community seems to just get shittier and shittier.

I had the game kill me once because I'd had the temerity to jump between two points and got caught in the geometry between the two points.

Do you have an example?

Because generally when you jump out of a speeding car in a game you ragdoll out or take damage. In GTA this was added in GTA Vice City? This wouldn't even count as a bug technically.

I don't know of any other game that spawns pedestrians in midair when you jump off a ledge.

I hope one day you will realize people have opinions that don't put them in two extreme opposite camps of thought.

The video is funny (like old skyrim bug videos) but the comments and reactions are serious.

Take this highly upvoted comment for example:

"This slows down that car faster than the fucking brakes do. It's like they put old 1980s used car brakes on this thing.
That being said, why is the top speed of a futuristic hypercar slower than the top speed of a real life hypercar?"

I don't think people are going overboard with the criticism of the game at all. It is legitimately, honestly a poorly made game from everything I've seen, and people are responding pretty fairly.

For instance, I don't think I've ever seen a video game where you jump out of a moving vehicle at high speeds and then you just stand there being totally fine like nothing happened. That's extremely poor game making, something that would be in an alpha stage product.

I don't see angry, greasy trolls being unfair to the game. It's being treated correctly imo.

You seriously have not played that many games if you legitimately have this view.

I love these funny glitches but maybe I'm lucky but I haven't experienced them. I'm also playing on PC which seems to be the version they gave the greatest care to so that may be a reason.

I've noticed a couple janky things but nothing that took me out of the game.

Imagine thinking you have any amount of "cred" because you commonly post a particular messaging board. Breaking news. People aren't all trolls and have lives outside of this site.

But no. I just have an opinion of the game that is more than "durr cyberpunk is revolutionary and will change gaming forever" or "this the worst buggiest game I have never played".

In the first few hours I never really encountered any bugs, but after getting through a couple early story missions last night... whooooo boy

PS4 Pro
Camera bugged in car and I couldn't leave first person view
Health Pickup prompt got stuck on the screen, taking up a huge chunk of space
Driving through a tunnel and one side of it never loaded the textures
Couldn't shoot while ADS with tech pistol
Called my car and it showed up completely blown up with no doors
During a story cutscene had my parter and dead bad guy floating in mid air while an elevator went down. When the elevator landed they both went flying up and down really fast (this was actually hilarious)

Quitting to home screen and reloading the game fixed all these issues but damn it was annoying having to restart the game so often.

I think it really kicked off with the end of Mass Effect 3. Nerds were so fucking salty, as if the last 10 minutes negated the 100 or so hours of enjoyment they had playing through the trilogy up to that point.

Cyberpunk is a game with a lot of good stuff in it but yeah these people who are like 'most games are like this!' are baffling. The open world AI is below the standard of the genre.

GTA3 handles traffic better than Cyberpunk does.

It doesn't mean all of the game is bad. It means that aspect of the game is bad.

If I recall didn't they rage about Battlefront so much that countries made lootboxes from it illegal?

As much as people are complaining on the internet about the issues the game was still preordered by 8 million people. CDPR don't really need to worry about it. They'll just promise to be better like the rest of them do.

Which only happened because it directly affected gamers. It proves that if enough of us care about something, things happen. People seem to have quickly forgotten about Activision Blizzard actively censoring pro-Taiwan activism, Bobby Kotick being a scabrous piece of shit, Yves Guillemot covering for sex offenders, etc. But no, up in arms over fucking bugs and shitty graphics.
