No. Showed how delusional some of his supporters are. Like antifar and a bunch of other people were making free money on prediction markets because Trumpers were convinced he was the winner and continued to put money down on his victory. There are too many who have fully embraced propaganda networks and believe them to be true and as a result are unable to see reality.

So while I think it should be better than Trump having won, it is hard to be happy about it.

Happiest? No. That would imply that I had tremendous faith in / support of the winning candidate, or that I didn't see Trump's prolonged delusional tantrum coming a mile away, or that I believed his cultists would quickly die out upon his defeat.

But it was still a pretty big weight off my shoulders to have him lose the election. I tend not to conflate relief with genuine happiness, but it was certainly a big relief.

As people have said, Trump's loss wasn't that special since the count was so close for several days, we learned that millions of Americans still support him despite everything he's done (and not done), and even when it was clear that he lost, he kept trying to overturn the results (and still hasn't relented). If Biden had had a landslide victory that was clear on election night, it might have inspired some faith in humanity again and made for a singular happy moment. Instead we got an eventual point where we could all let out a sigh of relief.

All that said, I can't think of too many other exceptionally happy moments this year. I mean, it was 2020 after all. Many of us were stuck inside missing out on plans, lost jobs, or even lost friends and family. To all the people shitting on folks for having an uneventful year, well it was kind of a shitty year for the world.
